New flat!
Was talking to Web last night when we realised need to prepare quite abit of documents for the flat application today. Worse was I cannot seem to dial into my pc since Sunday, always happened when I need it. Forgot to send Web's income document in soft copies and lucky managed to get them from his sentbox using his webmail. After we hung up, I continued to gather all the documents and finished almost 2am. Couldn't get to sleep after that coz drank too much tea during the day and had to wake up b4 7am today as need to be at HDB by 7.45am.
Woke up feeling stone and reached Toa Payoh Interchange b4 7.45am and decided to go down to the mrt stn to grab a copy of TODAY when someone behind grabbed my papers. Really woke me up and realised its Web, who surprisingly changed to mrt instead of taking bus all the way here (gonna take him almost an hr).
We were the 1st ones to reach and the counters only open at 8am. One couple reached shortly after but we still managed to get the 1st in queue at the registration counter (must be kiasu!). When we get the price list, we were both very shocked by the price of the flat we wanted as its way above what we expected. As the unit was an executive one, we would thought it will not exceed $270K coz its lower floor but it turned out costing $288.6K! We still decided to get it else will risk losing it after they are relased to the open market. Just need to take a couple more years loan...
It was then rushing to the 3rd floor to make payment for the registration fee of $10 then back to the counter on the 1st floor to submit the documents, then booking of the flat. Web had to go up to the 3rd floor again to make payment for the option fee of $2K and back again. Really dun understand why they must put the cashiers on the 3rd floor and make people go up and down during the application process.
Finally completed all the necessary steps and now just need to wait for the loan application (within 2 weeks) and collection of keys within 3 months. We then had our breakfast at Koufu then spent time discussing details etc. We also surveyed Courts to check out furniture and electrical appliances prices then finally to the library to browse through design books then headed home to rest.
