Is life really too stressed in Singapore?

Almost overslept again 2day but still managed to rush through and left home 7.30am+. Had took a nap last nite and cun really get to sleep quite fast after that. Was so tired until actually dozed off while sitting there.

Reached the mrt station and saw a small commotion going on. The train services were disrupted again due to some accident at Yishun station thus both train directions were delayed by 1 hr. Luckily that happened quite early and partial service had resumed by then. Waited for less than 5 mins and the train came, probably from AMK or Bishan coz it was not crowded. It was a new train and I managed to get a seat. It was when I reached City Hall to change train then saw the notice that no services available from Sembawang station to Yio Chu Kang station. Luckily both me and sis were not affected afterall.

Still not sure whether its a suicide or accident but the person had been announced dead. Really dun understand if it had been a suicide case, why must people choose to die so tragically (cun even have their bodies in one piece) and especially during peak hrs where many more people will be affected. Dunno since when jumping off the tracks has became a trend for suicide. Perhaps SMRT should really look into building gates/ doors for above platform stations instead. No point saving on aircon charges and creating a place for suicide victims and spending much more money on affected passengers and other transport services (like emergency buses).

Anyway dun quite understand humans also. Sis said she read from somewhere that pychatrists said that people are prone to jump during peak hrs. Its probably in the mental state that triggered them to jump and not thinking of the impact afterwards. Also, I think people now got the mentality that their spouses will get loads of $$ after they die so all follow the trend (especially after the previous incident). Heard from my colleague that last Sat there was one accident case, some fainted or what but luckily was saved. In no time, people will not pity these people but angry instead coz its affecting our daily lives and sort of cheating our compassion.
