New colour again!

Went for the hair colour treatment (AHA treatment) again after work with sis. She had a new haircut and did scalp and moisture treatment.

The colour I did was brighter than the 1st time and will improve every subsequent time. I should be going again in 2-3 weeks' time.

Its a wet wet day!

Before I managed to wake up, heard the neighbour talking so loudly asking the boy to bring umbrella in case it rains. Just minutes after, I heard heavy raindrops falling and dragged to wake up. Snoozed my alarm until 7.15am, woke up and shower. The raindrops seemed much heavier and louder than the shower. Got a feeling it will rain this morning and my intuition proved accurate.

Decided to take my time and log in to run my daily sales from home then dilly dally left home. I actually had to wait till the 5th train before I could board and alighted at Novena station to buy breakfast and lunch. Did not intend to go back to take train again as anticipate will have to wait for several trains before I could get on, then wait again for several shutter buses before I could reach office. Joined the taxi queue of about 7-8 people and was lucky to get a cab in less than 15 mins.

A gal (looked like from China) had wanted to jump queue, although she saw many people in the queue by hailing an incoming cab. Good thing the uncle was righteous enough to ignore her and pointed the queue to her. She then stood beside the gal in front of me, possibly trying to cut queue again while I told and pointed to her to join the queue behind.

Reached office quite fast and as it was still pouring quite heavily, got the cab uncle drive me into the carpark. Finally stepped into the office ard 9.30am dry! Ate my Burger King breakfast and got a sandwich from Hans for lunch. Gonna stay put in office in this wet weather, hopefully the sky should be clear by knock off time...

My stupid boss again

Damn sian sian sian!!!! Why do I have such an idiotic, stupid and #%&@#%@#&*%@# boss!!????

My stupid boss is bugging me over the phone bill thing again. Seriously I dun understand what is her problem. Kept saying want to reduce my time spent on processing the bills, but it only takes 1/2 hr or so now, what more does she want. Can tell me Starhub is keen to introduce us to use their land lines thus saving cost to $42k a year. Does she realise all the hassle we gonng go through?? Still can say maybe Starhub can help us reduce the time spent on processing the bills, then might as well just charge everything to her own account. Easy for her to say but she simply does not understand what I am going to go through if I anyhow charge. Nabei~

Worse is I still have to attend her stupid meeting with Starhub later at 3pm to discuss about it. No ending to her nonsense! Later she will disgrace the company again to outsiders, trust me!

Its mid week..

Its Wednesday already and I had thought it was Monday yesterday. Spent hours watching TV last nite after dinner. Nothing much to do since I have finished my last serial and had not intend to start one soon. Need a break, catching serial damn tiring!

Anyway, watched "紫禁之颠" on Ch 56 from 7pm to 8pm. Then switched over to Ch 5 for "Maggie Me" - show by Fiona Xie (a ghost or some angel) and Adrian Pang (a ghost buster), followed by "My Sassy Neighbour". After that, watched "康熙来了" on Ch 52 and finally decided to call it a day. If I continue, will be watching "桃色蛋白质" till 11.30pm. My eyes were already closing since late afternoon so chose to have an early nite.

Singtel to M1 messaging gone haywire again last nite as I messaged Web but no reply, until he called me and said he had sent 2 messages to me which I obviously did not receive. He was also going to sleep so called to say goodnite (so sweet rite?). Only this morning I realised the messages came in only ard 1.33am! No choice la, I dun want to switch to Singtel if I have a choice. Probably wait until next year when number can be retained permanently then I consider changing to Starhub!

Missing updates

Oh my, its been days since I last blogged. Haven been into the mood recently coz (1) no time coz bz with watching 王子变青蛙 online and (2) been sick so no mood. Let me see what I can recall for the past few days..

Friday
Work same same but I managed to catch a few episodes of the taiwan serial 王子变青蛙 online at youtube.com. Perhaps I am abit late but it was suddenly that I felt it could be a nice show. I am hooked onto it after watching the 1st few episodes and continued on after I got home till almost 2am on Sat!

Met Web at Funan after work coz he wanted to buy the away jersey for LFC (Liverpool Football Club) at Peninsula Shopping Centre. Walked around Raffles City after dinner and shopping, then settled down for a drink and chat at Burger King.

Best of all happened today was my auntie came visiting again!!! Imagine she left just last week, not come again.... Dunno what's wrong with me, probably have to go see doc again soon....

Saturday
Woke up with a bit of headache and watched a few episodes of 王子变青蛙 before meeting Web at Dhoby Ghaut. We then walked abit in PS to avoid the hot weather outside and had some desserts. After that, we walked to the new Cathay to take a look and surprised that not many shops are opened yet. Mostly in operation are those eateries and cafes. We shared a bowl of oysters mee sua then walked to Parklane to play some games. Upon reaching, realised all the game machines for playing Photo Hunt were out of order!! Nothing much to do there so we walked to the nearby Guan Yin Temple to pray (Web prayed and I stood outside to wait) then walked back to Sunshine Plaza for dinner. Finally almost 7pm+, we went to the Palong Bar at Hotel Rendezvous for drinks and watch the Liverpool match against West Ham. And yes, we saw that couple again..

Reached home ard 11pm++ and started watching 王子变青蛙 again after shower.

Sunday
Woke up rather early coz the downstairs aunties were screaming their heads off again! Imagine kena awaken up every morning like that, can go mad one day!!

Watched abit of the serial again before heading to AMK to meet Web for our usual Sunday routine. As was sick last week and not yet fully recovered, we did not exercise this time. While playing pool, we almost got into a fight with some idiot coz he took away our support without asking and then kept it at his table. Web was so angry that he immediately slammed his cue and went off to find another support (which left me standing there in a shock!). That stupid idiot did not even bother to say sorry or anything, so rude!! I stared back at the guy several times and imagine he did not even dare to look over... chicken!

After pool, we went to eat steamboat and was so full when we left for the library. Went to the newspaper room 1st and we were quite naughty. As we managed to get hold of the chinese newspapers and saw a guy waiting (he was looking at our papers several times), we purposely held it for quite long... hahaha. I then returned on to the shelf but another guy beat him to it!! We then decided its time to change seats outside and left, glancing back the guy finally got the papers we left on the table!

Sat at MOS burger for a drink before we left for home. Wanted to drink milk tea but scared cun sleep at nite so had Sprite instead. Bought another starfruit bottled drink at 7-11 as we were still quite thirsty, while walking to the mrt stn.

Watched the serial again till 12am+ and went to bed.

Monday
Woke up with a headache thus decided to stay home and rest. As I had to print something, woke up unwillingly around 1pm+, got online a while and went back to bed without eating anything all the way till 5pm+!!! Finally decided have to wake up and eat something before taking headache pills, else would have slept on!

Sis made pizza for me and after taking medicine, headache managed to subside a bit. Continued the last episodes of the serial and went to bed after taking medicine. It's really a nice touching show, shall review it on the next blog.

Tuesday
Its back to work again, luckily was feeling ok (no headache) when I woke up this morning. However, my nose started to feel sick when I reached office till now. Found only one flu pill so took it after my brunch ard 11am, with the headache pill. Dunno why I become so weak suddenly, maybe not enough rest after the fever last week. Hopefully can tahan till end of the day.

New look!

Its Thursday, one more day to go before its another weekend. August is also coming to an end and the 7th lunar month ended yesterday. Time really flies...

I revamped my blog layout this morning, nothing to do and thought of trying something new. Cun get some features back and realised the new template does not allow direct html editing yet. There are more functions for html idiots like me but still abit handicapped coz no matter what, still need to know how to read some html codes (like those from my previous template - need to pick out to copy and paste etc)!

Woke up late again after the handphone alarm snoozed until around 7.10am. Managed to get out of the house by 7.45am and as usual, train was damn packed but I found a good position to enjoy some aircon. Sometimes it could be quite stuffy until I can perspire in the train!

Drank tea (Forest Fruit tea - kapok some teabags from Plaza Hotle the other day when we went for some training) and ate chee cheong fun for breakfast. Finally able to output after 2 days, possibly coz of the medicine I took. Felt so relieved now!

Now thinking if I should go out during lunch. Weather report this morning said it might rain in the afternoon, which I hope wun be accurate. Feeling so bored working sometimes and really wished I could live like a tai-tai, shopping and hi-tea everyday haha... (ok stop dreaming...)

Sleepy~

No Tv tonite as my parents and sis were watching new Korean series (again!). Was doing Sudoku and naurally fell asleep, from the effects of the medicine I took after dinner. Slept for almost an hr plus and woke up feeling so warm (the lights were on) so went to shower to cool down. Now doing my mask and trimax while typing...

Nitemare!!

Overslept today, probably coz of the medicine. Alarm rang at 6.40am and snoozed all the way in 5 mins' intervals till 7am still couldn't wake me up. Had a nitemare from 7am till I finally scared myself up at 7.20am. Damn, gonna be late so after shower, login from home to run my daily sales 1st then tilly tally take train to work, buying breakfast on the way and reached office 5 mins to 9am. My boss still came in after me, heng!~

About the nitemare, its really scary as I could recall almost all of it. I was on the way to play badminton with a fren (which later turned into my boyfriend) and carried a big and heavy bag, waiting at the bus stop for a bus (cun remember which bus but I think I am at Braddell Road bus stop). Many buses came and went but the one we waiting for did not come. Upon checking my watch, realised its 2am+, no wonder no buses! Just then, I saw a building overturn in the distance from my right and everyone panicked. We managed to go near to the overturned building, which looked like a hotel or hostel but saw smoke coming out from everywhere so decided to run for our lives (in case of explosion).

As we ran away, we passed by a building and had to climb up 10 floors before we could get to the ground floor, some distance from my house. While climbing, we could see the overturned building just next to us and there were screams from everywhere. After a while, we heard that there was no survivals and made us ran faster to get out. While running and running, I woke up. Wa.. damn scary, I still feel goosepimples while I recall and type. Must be the heatiness and medicine I guess. Hopefully tonite will have a peaceful sleep...

Sick day

Was coughing quite badly last evening after dinner so decided to see doctor aft 9pm to avoid the long queue. Luckily there was only 2 persons in front of me and after the consultation, realised I got fever and was given cough syrup, fever pills and antibiotics plus a day's mc today.

Messaged my colleague to help me run sales last nite but no response. I had to wake up early before 8am to message hhim again to make sure he received my message else I would have to login from home to work. Also messaged my boss but no reply.

I woke up almost after 12 noon coz earlier was awaken by those noisy aunties again. Dun understamd why they must chit chat below my unit every morning without fail. Surprised no one complained. Damn irritating, cun even have a good rest.

Just had lunch and took medicine, hopefully will not make me sleepy..

Its Monday!

Cun sleep last nite, not sure if its due to the exercise or what. Also cun stop coughing thus woke up rather unwillingly this morning. Its gonna be a long week again...

Work out day again

Went to play pool as usual and rest abit at the AMK library before proceeding for jogging at the park. This time I ran one round and walked 2 rounds, after climbing up the overhead bridge and the 8 flights of steps. Had dinner at A* again and had soupy stuff.

My cough sort of got worse with the throat rather itchy. Might have to see doctor tomorrow but expect long queue. The last time I went on a Monday, I spent almost one hr at the clinic!

Sick weekend

Friday
Met Web at Suntec again and had dinner at Marina Square's foodcourt. Was walking around after dinner when I saw Xris with her colleague in the distance. Walked up to her and surprised her! Was telling Web me and Xris were in Marina Square couple of times but din get to bump into each other and now we finally did!! She was easy to spot with the colourful polo from Mickey shop in HK. We then continued walking around Marina Square before leaving for Esplanade to see if there's any performances.

The performance was quite crappy as we found them quite irritating. Its probably a local band. Sat around and saw my colleague with her beau. Not sure if its the same one she mentioned to me before (I doubt so coz he dun look 30+). She wore quite a short skirt and looked sexy (different from her work image). I din go and say hi coz not so close with her anyway. She kept thinking I am single so I also din want to do unnecessary explanations.

Was feeling quite sick with the stupid intermittent blocked nose and abit sore throat. Took some medicine (cold and headache) and went to bed. I suspect might be running a low fever but still tolerable.

Saturday
Woke up feeling abit sore throat and took some flu medicine before going out to meet Web. Window shopped at Orchard and went to Tangs, Taka and Paragon. Bumped into my cousin at Taka but she din see me. I was trying to catch her attention by staring at her but she is too tall, din see me so I also din call out to her when she just walked away with her fren. We then walked all the way to the Kopitiam beside Hotel Rendezvous for dinner, then watched soccer at the hotel lounge (Palong Bar). Watched the Liverpool match and left midway through the second match (Arsenal) and saw that couple again! The gal was with her laptop again while the guy sat stoned there.

Almost fell asleep during the match after drinking beer (1 for 1 during happy hrs) and now feeling so awake! Throat still not too good, hope wun get worse after tomorrow else have to report sick again!

Wow!!

Busy Friday

Its been a busy morning! Maybe its Friday so got more mood to work haha. Seems like getting sick coz my nose was feeling so weird last night and I ate some pills before going to bed. Wasn't much better coz throat seemed abit swollen this morning and nose half blocked!

Was doing the usual monthly phonebill processing plus entertain some very lor soh colleague (kept asking this and that until I wanna go mad). Had to change some cross-charging for the phonebill becoz some stupid idiot commented dun split hair over small amounts (been complaining dunno since how many moons ago and never stopped). Fine la, I charge everything to the main accounts, so if they want to complain, she better be able to answer instead of pushing everything to me. Bloody hell!

Having such a boss is really a disgrace! Imagine she acting so unprofessionally when meeting with external people. Almost quarrelled with her yesterday in the meeting when she kept complaining internal problems and discussing them in front of outsiders. I dunno where to hide and tried few times to switch the topic.

It should have been a better day coz the idiot is supposed to be out at a seminar but dunno why she came back to office. Heard she wanted to drive her car back instead of parking at Suntec since its so ex but she is here for almost 2 hrs and still not moving her butt! Fancy this kind of people with this kind of disrespect for whatever seminar she is attending, its simply a waste of money!

Catching up

Met up with sis and Xris for dinner after sis' facial. I reached Orchard ard 6pm and shopped for stuff at Popular 1st then walked to Wheelock Place to wait for Xris. I would have thought she should reach by 6.30pm but waited until 7pm (she left office late and kena stuck in traffic jam at Orchard). Was walking around borders for so many rounds until legs ached. Went up to the 2nd floor for some shopping but decided to take a rest and sat down to wait for the snail.

We then went up to MTM to wait for my sis while having Iris, both our consultant, to entertain us. Both Iris and Xris were quite tired yesterday, both due to lack of sleep and they sprouted lots of nonsense while I just watched. Sis came out shortly and we quickly left for our dinner at California Pizza Kitchen as we were all damn hungry.

The food we ordered this time weren't that great. The last spagetti we had was out of stock and had wanted to try something different for the pizza. The pizza turned out only so-so (but Xris felt was too saltish) and the fettucine we had was too bland thus we din finish it. The starter and salad were quite good though. The desserts were fantastic as usual except I had toothache later on, possibly coz the stuff were too cold and the brownie turned sticky at the last bit.

We chatted till 10.30pm and left for home, all feeling tired. My brother was around when we reached home as he came by to pass us presents from his last trip to Alaska and helped with our print server problem.

Hot day!

Went out for some lunch time shopping as had been cooped up in the office for the past couple of weeks. Worse of it all is I kept kena harassed by my boss or colleagues. Probably next time I lunch in, should find somewhere to hide (like computer room/ data centre) so I have peace and quiet time to myself.

Of all days, today seemed rather hot and I can feel the heat even indoors. Bought a Fillet O' Fish from Mac and shopped around Bugis abit before venturing out into Bugis Village and OG. Upon reaching OG then I realised din bring OG card so decided not to see much in case need to buy anything.

Walked back to Seiyu and wanted claim my free gift from Paul & Joe but had to wait at least one month for it. As I have yet to claim for my free eyebrow trimming as well, decided to have it done today since the expiry date is 25 Aug 06. Specially instructed the gal not to trim too fine as I had a hard time adjusting to the brows the last time I trimmed at Fancl. She seemed unexperienced but nevertheless my eyebrows looked ok.

Back to office feeling so warm and finally managed to cool down....

Newborn!

Web's fren, Thomas' wife (Agnes) gave birth to a baby boy yestesday. Although he weighs 3.25kg, he looked small. Wanted to carry but he poo poo so I better not dirty my hands. The little baby is so soft and looked fragile while I touched his hands and legs but Web dare not go near!

When the new parents described the process, we almost fainted. I cannot imagine myself going through that. Even going to KKH made me freak out. Do not plan to have any children if I do get married so probably will be spared the ordeal. Although I had wanted to have kids when younger, the environment (high standard of living, stress etc) in Singapore made me think twice. Anyway, things might change, will see how it goes.

Stupid boss

Its definitely not fun coming back to work after one day's of rest. Work is piling up as no one does my work when I am away. In a sense, its better coz people wun mess up my stuff. The bad thing is I have to work extra hard to clear whatever is not done in my absence.

And on top of it all, my boss had came over to make noise over a simple email I sent regarding some change of dates for systems downtime. In order not to confuse people, I put in the new date but she said should put in old and new, and indicate the change. What the heck la, she can go and send the email herself if she got an issue. I am not so free to make a fool of myself by sending the email again, which will probably confuse people more.

Put a smile on someone's face

My colleague was back from 2 months of medical leave yesterday after an operation and I sent her a table bouquet to welcome her back. She was touched and said it really brightened her day. Its so simple to put a smile on someone's face...and I felt happy too!

New colour!

Went for a colour treatment today while I am on medical leave. A bit headache but still need to do something to my hair. Chose a "Cherry Pink" colour this time and as its the 1st time doing it, the colour not so obvious on my already very brown hair. So you can shades of brown, dark brown and red/pink. As this is not the same as dye (and not as harmful), it can only last 2-3 weeks depending on the wash so I should be going for another session soon (or more).

Went for facial in the evening and fell asleep in between as usual. Was lying there doing mask and heard the window curtains hitting the window glass. Quite scary coz aircon cun be that strong. Anyway it happened twice only so probably its just some wind (dunno coming from where).

Was already quite hungry when facial just started, even though I took dinner at home before I went out. Had to rush to Tangs to buy some bao and siew mai while they were packing up to go home. Lucky thing I reached 6.40pm and started 5 mins later although my appointment was at 7pm. My hair was in a mess (too flat) after the facial and left for home shortly after buying some breads from BreadTalk.

Yet another sweaty day

Tried table tennis today and had Web as my coach. Not my choice but sort of sick playing pool so its time for a change. Already had a good workout combing the nearby blocks near AMK mrt stn for a table tennis table. By the time we started, I was damn tired. Picked balls most of the time and that made me giddy and add on to the tireness. I believed I played not bad for a 1st timer except quite slow. The wind was also quite strong thus hindered parts of the game.

We played for about an hr and called it a day. Web then told me we will still go jogging later and I almost fainted. So I said I felet giddy and abit headache (coz lack of oxygen) so he spared me, saying we could just walk around the park.

Being so thirsty as we were walking to the park, we sat down for a drink (rather 2 large cups) at A*. We then felt the strain and decided to scrape going to the park. Bought some snacks to munch as were feeling abit hungry on the way to the library. I then changed and washed my face abit. Sat at the library reading some newspapers and relaxed until ard 6.30pm for dinner.

Went to the hawker centre this time and lucky to find seats when we just reached. Shared fried fish soup with rice, pork porridge (I ate abit coz got pig blood - yucks!), pork cordon bleu (western food - too oily never finish), chicken satay (which were mostly uncooked - yucks again!) sugar cane drink and ice kachang. Yeah talk about exercise and then eating... Anyway we already tried sticking to more healthy food...

Left shortly after dinner as Web wanted to rush back to watch the Liverpool Vs Chelsea match and Liverpool won 2-1!!

Going to take medical leave tomorrow coz sick (sick of work!). Planned to go do hair treatment then go facial.

Repainted nails

My nails dunno chip like dunno what so I repainted 4 fingers (2 on each hand - 2nd and 3rd fingers) last night. Looks like too although colour differs abit from the one painted earlier.

Morning shopping

Went out to buy brunch (chicken rice) and some other stuff. Just one walk outside and I spent like about $130+ buying hair products (hair cream, conditioner, shampoo etc), cotton buds, kitchen towers and of coz my brunch. Plus the earlier payment to Starhub, spent almot $300 in one morning!!

It's really hot today as I perspire while walking. If I stay out long enough, I would probably develop a headache. But the weather forecast says it will rain later... hmm... Maybe when its especially hot, its a signal for downpour later on? Let's see...

Network problem solved finally!

Wanted to wake up at 9am but couldn't so nuah until ard 10am. Starhub's engineer then happened to call and ask if he can come now coz he's in Toa Payoh. Had called Starhub to report my network problem on Thursday and my appointment was supposed to be from 11am to 1pm today but I told him ok since he's already nearby. I quickly woke up and wash up + change.

He came shortly after and as I explained the problem to him, he started checking my signal. It was diagnosed that the modem does have some problem so after replacing with a new one to test, it was ok. There were signal losses and speed was quite low with the old modem. The new modem was tested ok with signal and speed normal.

Paid $151.73 (modem + service charge) and he mentioned that alot of households using this old modem (which was also the very pioneer batch) had problems and changed. Was feeling a bit fed up after he left coz the customer service person kept saying MIGHT be modem fault but cannot confirm. And when I asked if anyone else has this problem he said ya but cannot confirm the problem. I could have save the service charge of $52.50 but nevertheless, its too much a hassle to go buy a modem then fix it, call starhub to activate and then realise not the modem fault. Bo bian lor, have to spend some money to fix the problem.

Now I have an extra router coz earlier bought a new one thinking was the router fault. I am suprised no one seem to know what's the problem when I asked around. My colleagues said could be Starhub's DHCP or DNS problems, the shop I went to at Sim Lim said could be router problem. My brother also thinks should be router problem. End up its the stupid modem problem...

Hopefully I have no problem with the connection now...

Power nap

Bought 2 Sudoku books the other day and one proved to be too tough for me so now I am on the second one. Its quite ok for but I almost fell asleep doing it during lunch so decided to take a small nap. It was a good nap as I woke up feeling abit more refreshed. Read before somewhere that says napping for 10-15 mins during lunch is power nap as it refreshes the body and brain to get rid of some tireness. Lucky I got a few mini pillows here!

Messy Week

Its been a messy week. Tuesday felt like Friday, Wednesday felt like Sunday, Thursday felt like Monday and now, finally its Friday and yes lucky it feels like Friday!!

How nice if we have a midweek holiday every week, I wouldn't mind the confusion but seriously its pretty tiring. You get your momentum going then stop, then start again then stop. Anyway nevermind la, just give us a midweek holiday every week!!

Woke up pretty tired with my right ear painful (after lying on the right side most of the time to fall asleep) and my right side of neck abit aching. I definitely need some quality sleep which I am lack of for a long time. Now that my neighbours are finally gone, I find myself staying till 12am+ almost everynite. This is the aftermath of what the stupid neighbours had done to me. I have to slowly adjust back my timing but seems like there are endless stuff to do at night and time is always not enough. Dilemma!!

Feel like taking a break to rot at home coz sian to work. But got nothing much to do at home, in addition to wasting electricity and water. Also cannot sleep much (like till 12pm+) everyday coz those stupid aunties started making noise with their gossiping early in the morning like 9am till 11am+. I wonder how come no one complains, especially those people who are just staying where they gather (outside a flat DIRECTLY below mine). Find one day I will throw a stink bomb down... basket ...

Sis went to buy beads at Chinatown and I met her after that to have dinner. Brought her to the famous Holland Village Fishhead Bee Hoon Restaurant to try the Fried Hor Fun. She agreed its nice but I felt it lacked some flavour coz we did not order the Fried Fish Bee Hoon to go with it. It would be too much as we are not big eaters although I felt quite hungry at that time (even after eating siew mais and a cheese sausage sis bought from the Pasar Malam near our house).

We decided to try the K-ster karaoke at Lucky Chinatown (or rather me coz sis is already a frequent guest there). Bought some BBQ Chicken Bak Kwa for home and "Ah Balling in Almond Milk" in as dessert and its really nice!! Din know there is actually a K-Box on the 3rd floor, right below the K-Ster. Tough fight man, maybe PartyWorld should consider opening one at the 2nd floor, which is vacant at the moment... :P

Anyway I think no other KTV could beat K-Box, which obviously is backed by some strong and rich organisation as their equipments, rooms, selection of songs and drinks etc simply cannot be defeated. K-Ster's room looks a bit old and small with insects crawling around while the drink size was quite miserable and selection of songs abit limited. System is ok but I hate to use mouse to navigate the menus on the screen and my right palm ached as the position of the mouse is simply too awkward and the wire too short! The room is quite soundproof though, at least cannot hear singing coming from all the rooms (only the one beside)!

It was still early (11pm) when we ended so we slowly took a north east line train to change to the north south train at Dhoby Ghaut. It's probably quite late by then so we managed to get seats when we boarded. Walked past the McDonalds at our place and surprised it was closed. Sis mentioned that there was fire the previous night or something so now they were closed last night to do re-wiring (probably wires short-circuited).

HK dream

I was reading kennysia's blog yesterday and I really dun like him!! Why must post so much things about HK??? Make me jealous!!! So much so until I actually dreamt that I am going to HK with sis!! Sis was actually on a business trip to attend some seminars or workshops and I decided to tag along! I also bought tickets for Stephanie Sun's concert in HK so we had to stay there for about 11 days!! How nice if its happening in real life!!

Anyway, Xris is going to HK in Sept on some projects. I also dun like her coz she refused to bring me along. U watch out Xris!! Go on spend more money lor... go go!!!

Its nice to hear from him again

National Day was also my ex's birthday. I remembered when I just got to know him and we were not an item yet, I had thought he was joking when he told me his birthday is on 9 Aug. I bought him a green sasha bear nevertheless when I met him for dinner. I had to check his NRIC later on just to confirm. Since then, I was never able to forget his birthday.

Think I sent him a card last year but not this year. I sms him ard 1am+ last nite when I was about to go to bed. He called shortly and I was really surprised. He said he was touched that I actually still remember and thanked me. We chatted for a while and touched on topics of our past relationship. He told me he is still in guilt after dumping me and had since changed alot on his thinking. I told him that its all over and no point brooding over it.

He had not wanted to settle down that's why after several arguements, he decided to call it quits then. I am glad he got a new girlfriend now and more or less prepared for a committed relationship. We are just not fated. I mentioned that even though we had stayed on, there would be other things that will break us up, we were just not meant to be. I am glad I had got over that dark period and found a new love. Am also happy for him that he had found someone too.

Sometimes I feel that everything is all fated. Some things that are meant to happen will happen and will not when its not meant to be. Its part of growing up I guess. We tend to think differently as we age and see things in different prospective than before. I do not blame him now coz I know I will probably suffer more when with him. So I am glad we each has nice memories and get on with our lives.

Its nice to hear from him again...

Pre-National Day celebration

Typed a whole long blog yesterday and that stupid connection had to drop when I just click on "Publish Post". Had wanted to save the html text but clicked too fast and probably just underestimated the connection that it will play me out. Anyway, now I had to repeat the post again, hopefully can remember what I typed yesterday.

Took a bus after work to meet Web around his building as we planned to hang around Raffles Place until 9pm to watch the fireworks display near the One Fullerton area. After walking around to check out the places to makan, finally decided to go Vil'age as most restaurants had closed or dun seem exciting. But as there were no people yet (slightly b4 6pm), we sat around outside while I took picture of the mini moo-moo at the entrance and ate some muffins Web bought earlier in the afternoon at Vil'age (3 for $3 only from 11am to 2pm).

Web dun really enjoy dining at Vil'age as he felt that there are few varieties and too ex. For me, I enjoy except the food is not as good as Marche. And we probably have different taste and ordered different stuff compared to when I go with sis or frens at Marche. We ordered about 4 dishes and paid around $47 for them.

Stopped by the Standard Chartered Bank building and went in to take a look as the lobby looks impressive. The waterfall-like fountain looked like a giant harb and the decor on the walls looks like bread!!


Left at 8pm after a small rest on the sofa there and went to the washrooms at the Fullerton Hotel before walking over to the One Fullerton area. Was really surprised as there were already crowds of people everywhere. We still managed to squeeze through the crowd on the bridge to Esplanade to a good position. There were so many people with huge cameras and large tripod stands. Imagine they could have been there since like 5-6pm or earlier. It was still about 45 minutes to go before the start of the fireworks display so I took a picture of the full moon (its 15th day of the chinese lunar calendar) amidst the clear black sky.

The fireworks display finally started while I took few pictures before taking the rest in video (will update in next post, need to load videos 1st). Although my Sony cam is light and portable, the results were still quite good.

It took only about 10 minutes and cost alot of money!! We sat around for almost an hr plus to wait for the crowd to disperse 1st before making our way to Raffles Place mrt. It was still very crowded when we boarded the train and we saw 2 gals sitting on the floor of the train eating sushi!! My god...

Sick Monday

Took half day leave yesterday wanting to go down Sim Lim to get a new router (old one got problem and need to send for servicing 1st) and to buy some books (Sudoku etc) from Kinokuniya as the 20% sale was till yesterday.

Went lunch with colleagues 1st and ate a most awful bowl of noodles. We went to this new HK cafe down at Liang Seah Street (opp Bugis). I ordered the Luncheon Meat with Fried Egg and Vege in Nissin Noodles and its the worse I have ever tasted. The soup tasted like miso soup which I dun like, and the luncheon meat got a weird taste (maybe some ulu brand) and the fried egg was not fresh. Also ordered Ice Milk Tea and it came in a unique but heavy + not practical container. Tasted ok but seemed like a big cup.




My colleagues ordered other stuff like Baked Fish Fillet Rice (heard was quite nice), Fried Rice with Chicken Chop (smells good), Beef Brisket with Nissin Noodles (too much fats) and we shared Salad Prawn (which was not bad).





We parted after lunch to go our own ways while I made my way to Sim Lim. Was feeling giddy suddenly and quickly bought my stuff and took a cab to Taka to meet sis at Kino. By then, I was feeling both giddy and nauseas (heard from my colleague who took same noodles as me also din feel well yesterday. We suspected could be the egg or soup, or even the luncheon meat). Afer picking out some Sudoku books, felt abit of stomachache and went to the toilet. Finally also cannot tahan the weird feeling in my stomach and threw out some of my lunch. Felt so much better but my giddiness became worse. Me and sis ended up buying like about 7 books worth almost $200!!

Dragged the bags of books to Taka to take a rest on the second floor. Took medicine and was feeling a bit better after napping for a couple of minutes before we went to Sushi Tei at Paragon for dinner. My appetite improved at the great food and we had a good dinner there. Atmosphere was good too so will probably come back again soon.

After that, we walked to Centrepoint and OG with the bags of heavy stuff and books as I started to feel giddy again. Dozed off again while waiting for sis to try on clothing and finally left for home after she bought the item, past 8pm (no extra $2 surcharge).

The drowsy effects of the medicine finally subsided after I showered and rested a while before starting to install the new router and print server I bought. Took quite awhile but managed to get it working. Only got disconnected once last night so I hope its just some normal problems.

Delayed updates

Finally finished watching 愛情魔髮師 this morning! Its a long serial especially with my home network being so cranky (suspected router got problem coz got disconnected every few minutes).

Haven't been blogging coz been bz watching the serial and quite bz at work too. Now I lack sleep and really need to have a good break. Lucky its a holiday this Wednesday so hopefully can get some quality sleep before I start on the next serial!

Tuesday
Stayed home after work to catch up on the serial and get some rest. Bought dinner home as all of them were at uncle's wake.

Wednesday
Initially took half day leave to go facial and shopping with sis but as my uncle's funeral was on the same day, decide to take whole day's leave. Woke up with a headache and was reallt torturing through the funeral. He was cremated at the Mandai crematorium and it was really impressive and truly a high tech place. Every step was so systematic and I supposed the cost is not cheap too. We had lunch back at the funeral wake place and I really ate alot as was quite hungry by then. There was a few dishes and I ate most of the sliced fish coz it was really nice and alot.

I immediately fell asleep on the floor as got no more energy to get changed or showered. Slept for about an hour before waking up to shower to prepare for the facial appointment. As usual, fell asleep several times during the facial, awaken by my own snoring. The facial actually took about 2 hrs, instead of the 1 hr as mentioned. This was a FOC treatment when we bought products during the GSS.

Had dinner at Breeks and we both ordered toasted sandwiches. It was damn nice I tell you, so far the best I have taken. Shopped around Orchard abit and did not buy anything again.

Thursday
Met up with Xris and Hui Choo for dinner, at Marriott Hotel again. Its been almost 4 months since we last met and time really flies. I was actually feeling quite tired for the past week thus wasn't in a perfect mood that night. They had even thought of going for some drinks after dinner, when we left the place ard 10.30pm+ but I told them I was quite tired. Decided to catch up again soon after Hui Choo comes back from her KL trip next week. Fancy her kena a business trip for some training in KL on her birthday week. She's flying on 7 Aug, eve of her birthday.

Friday
Went down to Chinatown to meet Web to have dinner at our new found eatery place. We ate XO Slice Fish Beehoon and Fried Hor Fun for the second time and I anticipated it will be a regular place in future. The Hor Fun is really fabulous and mouth watering!

After that we walked around abit in Chinatown, then down to Maxwell Market area and then to Tanjong Pagar then Raffles Place. Sat around and chatted till 10pm+ then slowly made our way home.

Saturday
Met Web to go East Coast again. Sis and Xris also had a bbq from the David Tao fan club but as they were at a different area, they took mrt to Bedok then cab in as me and Web took a bus from YCK to Parkway Parade area. It was a hot day so we hanged around abit in Parkway Parade before walking over to the park. We found a seat quite fast and chit chat till almost 9pm. As we dun really feel hungry after all the snacks earlier, we shared a MOS Burger meal before walking to take bus back to AMK and went on our way home.

East Coast was especially windy that day, and I had problem trying to keep my eyes open most of the time. Addition to lack of sleep, I had to close my eyes several times to rest while Web napped on my lap. It was also quite crowded on that day, probably of the nice weather.

Sunday
Played pool as usual before going for some snacks before our exercise time. Managed to climb up the many flights of stairs again, without the overhead bridge this time as we jaywalked!! We then jogged for one round and I was panting like hell. Really lacked of stamina and breath. Walked another round before we called it a day and went to the library to cool down before going for dinner at A* again.
