Feeling real tired, sleepy and unwell now. Din sleep enough and having a headache since morning. Already taken pill but seems like no effective yet. Fell asleep after packing bag etc eventually and woke up intending to officially rest for the night but cun sleep after that.
Bought bao and siew mais from the downstairs coffeeshop this morning and just when I walked out to the road, realised the siew mais were damn cold! Bo bian la, no time to walk back so had to heat them up in the microwave when I stepped into office.
Then its busy clearing some work b4 I am off for the rest of the week. Headache still killing me and felt giddy and sleepy... torturous!!

Bz day?
I finally finished my shopping for Web's presents today, not willingly coz cun get some items so will give it a miss and maybe keep for Xmas so I got more time to source around. Bought a total of 11 gifts and prepared 9 penalties for him to fulfill, its gonna be fun!
Started buying the 1st present sometime in Sept, abit kiasu but lucky got it coz the next trip I went down, the items were sold out (only left 3 after I bought it). Only managed to spot one left weeks later. Dunno whether they returned to the supplier, someone bought them or what... Its a Liverpool momento souvenir set, not quite sure what is it called exactly. Anyway its some orginal licensed replicas of the real stuff like past matches tickets, certificates etc. Will take pictures and post after his birthday.
Was craving for Burger King chicken sandwich so decided to go across the road after circling around Parco Bugis Junction and bought a handphone pouch during lunch. The one Web is using comes with the handphone and I just realised it was very worn out (poor material) so inspired me to get a new one for him. Was then waiting at the traffic light to the other side (Bugis Village) when droplets of water fell on me. Although I had an umbrella with me, my immediate reaction was step back into the building (rather not walk in the rain) and settled for a Fish Fillet from Mac instead.
Walked for a few more rounds and waited for the rain to tone down abit then went to Shaw Towers to buy a backpack. Hadn't thought of the place until at lunch, should have gone there long ago. Actually bought one 2 weeks back but while talking to Web at East Coast the other day, realised he preferred a bigger one. He was saying his current one was too small which I find it quite big. Wanted to exchange but its way past 7 days, should have got more clues earlier... hai~ Offered the backpack to bro but he said seldom get to use now but will take a look. Worse come to worse, will just keep it for myself, cun think of anyone else to give to. Selling it on auction will probably take a long time...
Finally done packing all the presents except for the Liverpool pack which I will give him with the backpack tomorrow. Its rather heavy and silly to carry all the presents to the chalet. Never really thought about it when I planned for the presents.
Also just managed to pack my bag partially coz still need some items tomorrow. Feeling damn sleepy now, hope can tahan abit longer and try to go to bed early. Took half day (afternoon) tomorrow as well for an early celebration. Web proposed it probably he's in holiday mood already! Lucky my boss din not make noise this time...

Its another raining day yesterday. Rained ard noon and in the evening. But surprisingly the weather wasn't that cold, or maybe its just me...
Met Web at AMK again for the usual routine. Sis and mum had intended to come AMK too but it rained during the evening while we were in the library so they changed their mind.
Picked up a novel by my favourite author from HK (张小娴) and started reading when Web picked up some teens' mags to browse. Read almost 1/2 a book in the library and decided to borrow it. We were then laughing at the various columns in the teens' mags. We din expect they still have penpals and dedication sections. Some of the posts were really quite cute and funny. We are alreay so far past that age. Even then, I cannot remember people from our era posting mushy and sounded desperate messages in magazines.
Read my novel until almost 12am+ and finished it! It was rather sad and touching towards the end and I cun help but teared while reading. Couldn't really sleep last nite as was tossing and turning in bed until 1am+. Was talking to Web earlier on about my dialect deficiency. Then I read a blog my cousin wrote her visiting grandma. I suddenly felt sad coz I always wanted to talk to grandma more but there's always a barrier as I cun speak hokkien. I guess sometimes in life, there's always something we want to do but limited by some capabilities. And as typical Asians, we tend not to show our feelings through actions or words. The only thing I can do is to be there on special occasions like her birthday or Chinese New Year as old folks usually like to have warmth of a big family.
Its grandma's birthday this coming Sunday and we are planning another celebration for her. She is 83 this year and very healthy! We should be catering food coz found a good one which my colleague recommended last time. Also more cost effective and save trouble, else me and sis have to go around buying food and ordering pizzas.

Cycling day!
Went East Coast for cycling again today. As usual, my family went ahead of us ard 11am and we only reached ard 3pm. Din meet them coz we went to Parkway Parade 1st as its rather hot. Waited until 4pm+ then we walked over.
My cycling today was damn bad, kept swaying and cannot keep my balance. We had a double seater bike again and I think Web must be suffering behind haha... Lucky when he took over, I can relax abit but he was also quite shaky. Dunno why we always get these kind of bikes.
There were so many people and I try to avoid using the bell. Web said I am quite terrible coz kept ranging the bell but sometimes bo bian leh, those pedestrains really one kind, must walk on the bicycle tracks. Worse are those skaters, simply dun understand why they like to hog the tracks too. At one point one time, one stupid skater actually was skating in between our lane and the opposite one. I tried to avoid him by cycling to the right, then he also dilly dally swayed to the right, I had to shout at him "hello excuse me!!". That really should wake him up, basket skate until like that. Web also had a good laugh at my reaction. He then asked how come I dun ring the bell and I said dun think he will get my signal and the bell is too far from the handle so shout faster... hahaha...
We cycled quite far this time, all the way until the Changi Safra Resort, which is also the end of the cycling track. After cycling we head down to Mac again for a drink and sort of dinner. We were actually still quite full but we finished 3 medium drinks there! Wanted to leave ard 8pm+ but it started raining so we waited until no rain and walked to Parkway Parade for yet another cup of drink (milk tea at MOS Burger) before heading home.

What a Friday nite!
Its a boring Friday coz came home early as Web needs to work late. Had dinner, surfed abit, listened to music, do some Sudoku and fell asleep. Web then called me from office ard 9pm and chatted abit. His vendors went ou for dinner while waiting for the Dublin site to rectify the problem. Poor Web always kena such shit when he is on standby. His colleague always find the easy way out during his turn, like asking Web to cover his job if he already worked for certain hrs. Web being so nice and young, did not want to upset the older colleague, whom the boss also has no control over. Hopefully they can finish by tonite (which may be past midnite) so at least Web dun have to go back again tomorrow.
Now doing mask while typing this blog. Sis just came back too from her dunno what pop piano thing. Need to go wahs off 1st... Updates again soon...

Yeah! Its finally TGIF!! Woke up quite early today so naturally reached office early too. Was feeling abit more refreshed than Wednesday probably coz its gonna be weekend, mood also different.

Shopping therapy sure works!
Ya on leave today planning to go shopping with sis. Had intended to head east (Tampines central) for shopping but ended up only in Changi Airport after lunch and some warm up shopping in Orchard.
Woke up later than planned coz too tired, especially after so many days of rest then work for one day. This single day enough to kill all my brain cells. Was raining heavily in the afternoon thus b4 I left office at 5.30pm, purposely look out of the window to make sure no more rain. Safe enough, left and went toilet 1st. Suay suay met my boss when I came out to wait for the lift. Good thing also coz when reached downstairs, it was raining quite heavily (maybe I see salah??) then boss offered to give me a lift. Or rather i was exclaiming "wow so heavy rain" and she stopped while walking to the escalator down to the carpark. She then asked me where am I heading to so I said home lor, then I asked if she will pass by any mrt station. She then said braddell right, can la, send you home. Wow so honoured leh... dunno what to say. Sometimes she is ok la, at least kind enough to offer but most of the times in office she is a jerk! Thanks to her anyway that I din get wet in this weather.
Ok back to today. Went Island Cafe at Tangs for our lunch coz me and sis were craving for the Indonesian Fried Rice. We went Island Cafe at the Vivo City Tangs branch but they dun serve most of the signature dishes so we sort of 不甘心 or 不甘愿 until today. We then proceed to the Espirit branch at Wisma Isetan to try on a skirt which I wanted but no more size at Vivo City. I was told that Wisma has got size 40 and Mandarin Hotel branch has size 42. Thought size 40 should fit ok since I tried a different colour the other day but after trying another colour again at size 42, decided to go for that and asked the gal to help me reserve the one at Mandarin Hotel branch. We then browsed around and sis ended up buying 3 blouses at 30% off while I got the same skirt but different colour. We also managed to spend $150 to get the Espirit membership card. Its also my birthday month so I could 20% on future purchases up to 31 Oct 06 but seems like nothing much left to buy...
Shopping abit in Taka to wait for the rain to stop b4 walking over to the Espirit branch at Mandarin Hotel to collect my skirt. Nothing much to buy although there's a Sanrio products at the Talking Hall and a Branded sale at B2 podium. There were so many people everywhere, doesn't seem like a weekday at all. I wonder all these people work at all. We then walked over to Paragon, rested and walked around then took a bus down to Changi Airport. We wanted to eat at Popeye's coz long time haven't been there.
Reached the airport and alighted at T2 coz haven't felt the hunger pangs yet. Who knows the minute we reached the halls, we felt hungry. We wanted to take the skytrain but realised its closed for maintenance or what from 25 Oct to 27 Oct and today is the middle day!! Luckily they arranged shutter buses to ferry passengers so we took one of them and proceeded to the Popeye's counter at the T1 food court near the viewing mall. The food was ok but far compared to the branch at the HK Airport. Din quite finish so dabao abit home for mama.
Sat around at the viewing mall, watching the planes (not many actually) and chatted till almost 8pm and left, taking bus 53 all the way to Bishan Interchange. Took us about 1 hr and we bought stuff at J8 NTUC b4 heading home via mrt. Been a nice shopping day, probably coz we bought new clothes!! Its back to work again tomorrow but its Friday and weekends thereafter! Its then 2 more days of work b4 I am off again for the rest of the week for stay at chalet for Web's birthday celebration.

Back to work
Its back to work again after so many days of break... Woke up pretty reluctantly and quite off time. Wanted to laze abit more but time always passes so damn fast in the morning. Showered and get changed etc until ard 7.45am. Was too lazy so took a cab to office today :P
Starting to get abit headache the minute I reached office. Nose also started acting funny again but it soon went off. Its probably post holiday symptoms. Already feeling quite tired at this time, ya at 10am+ only. I wondering how I gonna survive the day.
Bought a sandwich for lunch 2day coz anticipated wun be going out (too lazy and sleepy). Looking forward to tomorrow coz I am on leave again for more shopping!

Its Vivo City!
Its been a long and tiring day...
Woke up early, went Mac for breakfast with sis then off to the wake together as today is the funeral day for Web's grandpa. It was a warm morning but on the way back after sending his grandpa for cremation, it rained quite heavily across the island.
We left the wake while the rain subside abit and took train from AMK to Boon Lay to start our shopping spree. Its been days since I was couped at home coz was sick so this is the only day I had chance to really go out for fun. We were lucky coz it started raining again very heavily when we were waiting for the train.
Went to Yoke Boutique 1st as I have 20% off this birthday month but there wasn't anything to buy so we only tried on a few blouses and left empty-handed. Walked around Jurong Point abit when sis got hungry when I still felt quite full. Shared a 2-piece chicken meal at KFC and left for Vivo City.
Already took leave on Thursday and thought of going Vivo City then but we were left with nowhere to go so probably will plan to head east on Thursday instead. The exit from Harbourfront mrt station was really tough as there were so many people. Even queuing to exit the gates took us almost 5 mins+, in addition to the 5 mins+ coming up from the escalator. Needless to say, it was damn packed with people at Vivo City as today's also a public holiday. Luckily the place was huge enough to accommodate so many people.
The shops at Vivo City are all damn big and spacious. Tangs even opened a 2-floor branch there with the Island cafe (but a small one). Huge clothing stores like Espirit, Adidas and GAP were well packed with people. Shortly after, I bought a white skirt from GAP and sis got a dress from Espirit. We were then feeling damn hungry and tired from all the walking and settled at the Island Cafe since its the least crowded place for dinner. Oh ya forgot to mention there's a "The Chicken Rice Shop" from Malaysia, if anyone had tried it before. So anyway, everywhere was packed with queues so we just need somewhere to rest our legs and cure our hunger. The food menu wasn't the same as the main branch at Orchard so we reluctantly ordered our food but luckily they turned out quite nice.
We continued one more round after dinner and since almost covered all the corners, we left and took train home. Probably will drop by again but not so soon coz now everyone went there as its still new. Its a good place where you can possibly find anything you want. They even have 3 different food courts - Kopitiam, Banquet and Food Republic. There are huge stores having their branches here like Toys 'R' Us, Best Denki and Challenger. There are also new shops which we never seen or heard b4, worth taking a look. The premise is damn huge but too few resting (seating) places. Such huge malls should have more seats for rest mah... like that walk until so tired still must go on... jialat...
Surprising you cannot find fast foods like Mac and KFC here. They have Burger King, Carl's Jr and Long John Silver, and one new one called SuperDog (which I din see it anywhere, read from the directory). Most important to me are the toilets, which so far still ok la but could be better. Some parts have larger toilets with more cubicles but some are damn cramp. Its still clean coz quite new and the toilet cleaners are doing their jobs so far, hopefully will be able to maintain. One good advice, walk with a pair of comfortable walking shoes and bring the guide along (can be obtained from the Info counter - which you have to be able to find it 1st!) if possible!

Warm day..
Its Monday but already took leave quite some time ago. Woke up past 12 noon again and prepared to go for my facial appointment at 2.30pm. Sort of rushed out thus feeling so warm and perspiring all the way. Reached early and started my session early. As usual dozed off again during mask but think did not snore this time.
Finished around 4.20pm and took train down to AMK to visit Web at his grandpa's wake. His friend was already there so we chatted abit when Web was bz. His friend left ard 6pm and I hanged around until 6.30pm and walked to AMK central to meet sis for dinner. Its finally her last day of work at this temp job. We had bamboo rice with chicken and were both so full, did not finish our rice. Wanted to bring sis to try the ice kachang at the hawker centre but too bad it was closed 2day, probably coz its Monday.
We then walked to the library to sit around while and left for some drinks at MOS burger. We finished one big ice milk tea quite fast and left for home. Still feeling quite bloated now...

Finding things to do...
Was talking to Hui earlier on then we decided to go to the hair salon nearby our block. I had 3 treatments, namely scalp treatment, moisturising treatment and AHA colour treatment. Hui wanted to perm but she could not make up her mind as her bf dun like her with permed hair so settled for highlights and AHA colour treatment. The hairstylist also did styling for her so she could have a feel of how permed hair looked like. She liked the hairstyle very much. I told her its better she can come and set her hair anytime she wants rather than have it permed and regret.
We both left the salon having rose pink coloured hair and smiling. At least my Sunday is not wasted. Have also arranged for facial tomorrow since nowhere to go. Probably will do some shopping then drop by to visit Web at his grandpa's wake again.
Spent almost 3 hrs at the salon and was damn hungry when home ard 6pm+. Lucky sis came back shortly with my dinner. Took antibiotics after the meal and stopped the other medicines since feeling better. Its then back to doing Sudoku, doing mask and listening to music...

Good rest
Had a good rest yesterday coz slept alot! Dozed off ard 6pm+ after sis and parents went out and slept till almost 9pm. Changed my bedsheets earlier and did some Sudoku. Washed up as parents came home. Had my dinner at 10pm+ and continued Sudoku until I decided to bring all the presents I got for Web and started wrapping.
Just received a message from Web saying he's staying over again and try get some rest there. Poor thing... Sometimes guys are really stubborn, dunno the importance of rest so you could do more. Din want to nag coz he should know himself...

Sick...
Woke up almost 1pm+ today as was feeling quite tired and probably drowsy coz of the medicine. Napped again after wash up and took breakfast cum lunch at 3pm+. Its the time of the month again and now having a slight headache. Wun be going down to the wake today coz needs to rest. Web had stayed there since he went back ard 1am++ last nite coz he cun sleep at home alone. Told him to get some rest else he needs to stay over again tonite.
I remembered when my grandpa passed away in 2002, the ones who stayed over at nite were us, the grandkids. The adults happily left the wake to our charge. Some cousins stayed over other than me, bro and sis. We did have a good time to catch up anyway. It was pretty tiring though coz we stayed over at nite for 4 consecutive nights. Couldn't sleep much during the day time so only tried to catch some rest after the funeral. Wasn't very close to grandpa as we had communication problems so I guess that's the least we can do to send him off.

Belated birthday gathering
Met up with some friends (Xris, Angeline and Hui) last nite for my belated birthday dinner. I chose Manhattan Fish Restaurant coz never tried b4 and heard its better than Fish & Co. We ordered 3 dishes and share and they taste so so la. The platter for 2 is not as good as Fish & Co. though. The salad was normal and so was the grilled catch of the day.

Chatted for a while as we exchanged presents. Xris bought us stuff from Japan, Hui bought stuff from HK and of coz I bought pocket calendars for them the other day. Angeline was complaining how come we din inform her about exchanging presents but we really din planned to. Just pure coincidence coz the 2 gals were away for holidays earlier. For me since they have been so nice to arrange dinner for me and just happened to spot those nice calendars so bought for them.

Were feeling quite cold in there so we decided to ask for the bill and shopped around. Went to TCC later when all the shops started closing ard 9pm+ and ordered cakes and drinks.
We had barely settled down and talking when they asked for last orders. We then realised they are closing at 10.15pm, which surprised us as it's quite early for a coffee joint. We quickly finished up our drinks and landed up at McDonalds. Chatted until ard 11.30pm and left for home.
It was a good gathering coz we hardly meet up in fours. However, three of us were actually sick and still need to work the next day so din stay too late. I was particularly quite tired coz went out everyday since Monday.
Woke up feeling not too well but went to work anyway. Towards lunch, was feeling abit feverish so went off to see doctor, get some medicine for my flu (not recovered since Monday) and went home to rest. Napped for almost 2-3 hrs then woke up to shower, then had dinner b4 going down to the wake of Web's grandpa. Felt bad not to go so since feeling ok, just dropped by to pay a visit. Stayed until 11pm and walked to the bus stop as Web needed to go home for a shower and rest. I then walked to take the mrt home after he got onto the bus.

Nose blocked!
Woke up this morning, feeling abit drained coz slept ard 1am last nite. Also started coughing abit (in fact since last nite) and nose blocked. Was thinking if cun wake up will take am leave but eventually still came. Save my leave towards end of the year coz by then no mood to work also.
Went singing with sis last nite coz she needs to practice for her oncoming test or what although I am not in a good condition to sing. We went to the Singing World KTV in Bishan, the one at the central NTUC (not Junction 8) coz the one we frequented (Bishan CC) closed down. Wanted to use my birthday vouchers so came here instead of usual Kbox where the sound system is better.
I sort of lost my voice towards middle of the session and nose blocked like nobody's business. Towards the end, I had difficulty singing coz cannot breathe through nose, then the minute I try to catch my breath using mouth, I started coughing. At the same time, we can smell smoke coming in from the aircon ducts. We were still lucky coz this KTV can smoke and drink (not like the one at Bisha CC) but so far no one did until one of the waiters started smoking after 11pm.
Actually dun quite like the KTV coz beside it is the NTUC club which had a rowdy crowd last nite. Not sure if its a norm but just dun like it. Went for a toilet break in the middle and those people were making so much noise and some were quite drunk. After I came back, told my sis if nothing to (not urgent I mean) dun go toilet. We only went after the session together.
Most likely will not come back to this branch again, maybe will try the newly opened one at International Building. Suddenly miss the old Bishan CC branch as its a smoke-free environment and the staff were also friendly. Tried the branch at Crown Prince hotel and the place really sucks. The toilet floors were wet and dirty most of the time and the rooms are filthy. There were cockroaches around the last time we went there and that really freaked us out!

Shopping bugs!!
I think kena shopping bugs coz cun sit still and whole mind thinking of shopping. Seems like quite a lot of shopping list to fulfill too. I have few more items to buy for Web's birthday which is around the corner and seemed to have difficulty finding them!
Walked to Bugis during lunch under the hot sun (lucky got my umbrella with me) and bought quite alot. Mainly necessities but also got some gifts for my frens I am meeting tomorrow. No special occasion, just thought of getting something for them (probably early xmas present) coz I might not see them then (everyone bz with own stuff). One is getting married soon in Dec, the other two bz with work etc.
Reached the office feeling so warm and perspiring away. Had to on the fan to cool down now...

Tired day

Wanted to get a backpack for him but nothing nice at Taka. When we walked over to Metro, realised that they dun sell Deuters bags anymore. No chance to use my 20% discount at Metro coz nothing much to buy. We were damn tired by then and sat down to rest a bit before circling one round at Marks & Spencer. Walked back to Taka before they close but still dun find anything interesting to buy. We sat for a while and left to take train home when I met my ex-colleague with her boyfriend. She seemed so much happier since she left here and naturally dun look that stressed anymore.

Found it!
Was surfing the web for a CD (Sandy Lam 都市心 album) for the whole morning coz not too bz. Finally after much search, actually found that one shop has that CD, and that shop is just nearby my workplace at Shaw Towers. Called up and confirmed they have the CD and rushed over during lunchtime. Paid $39.90 for it as it cannot be found anywhere else. Feeling quite excited and happy that my efforts were not wasted!
The lyrics booklet is abit koyak coz kena some water thus some pages were stuck together. Some words therefore cannot be read. Bo bian la, no wonder selling so cheap coz the owner told me a previous copy was sold for $52.

Sleepy~
Din sleep well last nite coz my stupid nose kept giving me problems. Had to clear the blockage almost every hour and woke up at 5am for the toilet. Slept again afterwards and sort of overslept after I off the alarm. Woke up and wondered how come the sky's so bright and thought was weekend! Jumped off the bed and went to wash up and shower.
Left home almost at 8am and dilly dally reached office after 8.30am. Nose still giving me problem but just took a pill, hope will work coz last night's one dun seem quite effective.
Brought my new Gucci bag today and so afraid will dirty it. Now its resting very well in my drawer... haha. Not too bad except find it quite heavy after I stuff all my things in. Base is a bit narrow though.
Left home almost at 8am and dilly dally reached office after 8.30am. Nose still giving me problem but just took a pill, hope will work coz last night's one dun seem quite effective.

Stupid nose due to stupid haze
Just went to see doctor coz simply cun stand my stupid blocked nose since last Fri. Been stuck until I had difficulty speaking today coz the thing just loiter inside up and down. Doctor said its due to the haze, which cannot be avoided. Gave me some medicine to clear the blockage, hopefully will work.
Met Web just now coz need to pass him his mp3 player and IC. Need to scan his IC for his insurance documentation and load some songs into his mp3 player as his PC haywire liao. Had dinner at Junction 8 food court then went to the new Bishan library. We were getting cold and tired so left for home early to rest.

Backache...
Started having a very bad backache since b4 lunch. Could be din sleep well last nite (bad posture). Had problem walking just now, especially when I walked out for to meet the seller for the Lee Hom concert tickets. I even had to pause at one point coz the whole back was aching like nobody's business. Probably need to apply some ointment later.
PSI is reading at 114 at 2pm. Earlier was ard 99 when I went out at 1pm. Think it should get worse later... already saw some people wearing masks... really horrible haze!

Another hazy weekend!
Weekend is gone in a flash... Its the beginning of a new week again. In no time, we are reaching end of 2006. Seems like time flies especially fast as we get older. I always had the feeling one year is so damn long during school days and when I started working. In recent years, years passed by just like lightning. Not sure of its coz of age, we tend to think we need more time than younger days.
Nothing much interesting over the weekends except hazy days again but still had an enjoyable time. Met my insurance agents with Web on Friday as he wanted to get some policies. Who knows we actually spent about 2 hrs with them, and had dinner at PS almost near 9pm. Chatted over at MOS Burger later on b4 heading for home.
Went cycling with Web at East Coast on Saturday. My family actually went there too earlier in the late morning but due to the haze, they decided to stay indoor and went shopping at Parkway Parade. We decided to go ahead anyway coz the haze still wasn't that bad, although heard PSI could be around 90-100. We got a double bike this time round again and had fun trying to balance the stupid lose front handles. We were swerving most of the time especially at the more crowded areas. I was in front of the time too as I felt so handicapped sitting behind with Web blocking me. He was so relaxed sitting behind me!
Went to Mac for a drink after that and met Xris there! She was with her colleague for blading earlier, such a small world! I still thought might bump into my family but her instead. Sat there until almost dark and walked over to the neighbourhood coffeeshop for dinner. Decided to go watch the live match (Liverpool Vs Blackburn) at AMK and took bus 76 back. Wanted to stay indoors coz of the haze but cun think of anywhere else.
Settled down at S-11 and ordered 2 bottles of beer to share. The 1st game ended and they switched the channel to Star Sports, which was not showing the match we wanted to watch! Quite pissed off and wanted to go A* but still left with quite alot of beer (2 cups + some in the 2nd bottle). Luckily we had our water bottles with us, so I suggested pouring them inside and left. We managed to get seats over at A* although its quite crowded but the view wasn't that fantastic coz of the reflections. Ordered more drinks but we finished up the beer 1st. The match ended with a draw again while we quickly left to take public transport back (lucky still in time for the last train/ bus).
Sis had told me she and her friend wanted to go to Lee Hom's concert this coming Sat so I was bz trying to book tickets online. Cheaper seats are sold out and the rest wasn't quite good. I then surfed through Yahoo auctions and found some good bargains. I was pretty tired by then so decided to continue the next day.
Woke up ard 12 noon and surfed abit after lunch for the concert tickets. Emailed 2 potential sellers with better seats and price for the tickets then left home to meet Web. We met our insurance agents again to finalise some documentations at Mac AMK. It took about an hr but we continued sitting there for almost 2 more hrs as its quite hazy outside and we were too lazy to move our butts!!
Finally went to the library to cool down as Mac was quite warm, especally so after sitting there for so long! The library was as usual crowded with students as exams are around the corner. Managed to stay inside the newspaper room for a while but was feeling so cold so went out to the main section and lucky to find seats. Sat there until we both fell asleep. Left for dinner shortly after as were both quite hungry. Had dinner at the hawker centre again and hanged around at the Jubilee (for some aircon!) before heading home.
Finally got replies from a seller for the Lee Hom concert tickets and will be meeting him later during lunch for the transaction. Its $109 for a pair of $78 tickets plus a free CD, not a bad deal!

Very, very suay!!
Ok I admit, today is the suay-est Friday the 13th my whole life! In addition to the earlier incidents, more happenings were at lunch time.
First we were happily eating in Sakae Sushi when it started drizzling. Nevermind, then the rain got heavier... Cun even remember when's the last time it rained and it has to be today!! Why? Coz i wore this stupid pair of sandals that will let water seap in!! My colleagues had to rush back to office but I stayed behind coz I do not want to have my feet soaked in dirty water so went to find a pair of shoes. They were then either out of sizes, not comfortable ot whatever. Spent almost 1/2 hr but to no avail. Gave up and decided to walk back since its already 2pm+.
On the way back, my colleagues (3 of them) simultaneously messaged me saying my boss kept looking for me. When I came back, she naturally was so gan jiong asking this and that, which to me has got no urgency at all. All coz the stupid Finance Director from another dept is chasing her for some info, which she already had but insisted I did not update her... tamade what the heck la...
Better dun have more suay things happen later... else I guarantee all the 4-letters word will come out...

Bloody hell...
Ya its Friday the 13th. It has been a lucky day for me so far, except probably this time coz the second person who agitated me was my stupid boss again.
Passed her our leave cards since beginning of the week and she can delay until just now. She then commented that I should not take leave at the beginning of the month coz everyone will be bz blah blah blah... Nabei what's that to do with me anyway! Since 5 yrs ago, every beginning of the month (month end closing on 1st and reps usually come back) we have no issue, whether some of us in or not. Users are not so unreasonable as she is, and our dept staff co-operate among each other and more united than she will expect.
She can tell me she herself will try to avoid some dates but seriously it makes no difference even if she is gone forever! Ya month end closing so what... if my colleagues can handle in the past 5 yrs, I dun see why they have a problem this time. There are 2 of them so what's the bloody problem. Ya the reps come back so what, they are busier closing their sales than anything else. Bloody fool, have to come and spoil my morning like that.
End up she also LL must approve coz I said already made plans and as usual after some yak yak yak.... (learnt this "yak" from sis).
Passed her our leave cards since beginning of the week and she can delay until just now. She then commented that I should not take leave at the beginning of the month coz everyone will be bz blah blah blah... Nabei what's that to do with me anyway! Since 5 yrs ago, every beginning of the month (month end closing on 1st and reps usually come back) we have no issue, whether some of us in or not. Users are not so unreasonable as she is, and our dept staff co-operate among each other and more united than she will expect.
She can tell me she herself will try to avoid some dates but seriously it makes no difference even if she is gone forever! Some people are really ridiculous! Just got a problem ticket today from one colleague who feedbacked that our system got problem whenever she wants to print something. She did not even bother to check with us what is the problem (mostly is user fault coz she dunno how to use despite being taught many times), she just sent her complaints together with her problem ticket. My colleague who got the ticket this morning then commented I should have checked and routed the ticket earlier, as we received it ard 3pm+ yesterday. We have 4 days to attend the problem ticket what, so gan jiong for what... got prize ah... #$^#%*@#%

Met sis after work, finally! Was constantly asking her during the day what time she knocking off, coz we wun want history to repeat itself like last nite. Was pretty bz myself until almost 6pm, even my boss left earlier than me.
I reached Orchard ard 6.30pm and proceeded to MTM Centrepoint to pass sis' products for blending. Unfortunately, her beautician cannot blend yet b4 looking at her face so I sat there chatting with her until sis arrived. Hanged around for quite awhile afterwards and were both quite hungry when we left. Wanted to go Lemongrass for dinner but cannot find my 30% discount vouchers. Eventually settled at the TCC cafe nearby.
The food was good and the service was well, abit overwhelming. Meaning they were abit too attentive and courteous and I am not so used to it. At least they (service line) are improving I guess...
Walked down to Metro Paragon to collect my shoes. Sort of touch and go coz din bother to go home and get the vouchers, probably leave till next week. Walked all the way to DFS and proceeded straight to the Gucci shop to check out their stock. Saw a design with 2 different colours (Ivory and Brown) which I quite like but after pondering for less than 10 mins, decided to get the Ivory one coz it looked nicer (brown abit too dull and auntie-looking). It really brightens up my mood, after being quite disappointed with the earlier online purchase.
This is probably the most expensive branded bag I got so far - its a birthday present for myself. Sis even commented I bought it so fast and dun feel anything about it (heartache or what). But I in fact have been thinking for weeks or months already... just did not decide which one to get coz the stock changed too fast at DFS! So din want to waste time and live in regret later!!
Hope I will have sweet dreams tonite...

Bz week...
Gosh... its already Thursday! Really fast this week coz I have been bz since Tuesday so no time to blog (no energy too - means no inspiration). Just back from lunch so thought let my brain rest a while more while I blog.
Been a hectic week as I need to prepare all the accrual stuff for our hard close for the year. Really a headache trying to accrue purchases till end of the year. Gotta meet a certain budget too so not easy. Finally waiting for a couple of pricing b4 I could close case. But probably still due to further amendments after checked by my boss. She always has lots of comments and in the end, she will not answer to any queries by the auditors. Very irresponsible!!
Supposed to go shopping yesterday with sis, but she got cropped up at her 1st day of temp job at the last min so postponed to today. Hopefully she able to leave on time. I had wanted to bring some vouchers but 4got to pack them in yesterday. Now thinking whether I should head home to take 1st or just wait till next shopping trip. It should be ard 7pm b4 sis could reach Orchard anyway, but I got no free transport home 2day coz colleague is on half day leave... arggghhh!!
Feeling quite sleepy after rice at lunch just now. Stomach abit weird now... updates again soon...

Mistaken!
The bag I ordered came ard 10am+ but after looking at it, realised its not exactly the model I like. Probably missed out the description of the bag saying its canvas, not fabric type. Logged in the website for a refund and should be sending back the bag within these 2 days.
Hope the shop has the model I want soon, else I should be sourcing again at DFS again. Newer models are too ex and not so nice, still prefer those classic selections.
No new bag for this week :(

Monday thoughts...
Its Monday again... How time flies! Woke up quite early this morning and managed to buy breakfast and lunch from Novena Square before heading down to office. Luckily the sickening headache is gone else it would be a torturous Monday!
Realised that one of my fren cum neighbour is getting married soon (she din tell me but noticed from her msn message). Another fren is also due to ROM next month I heard (not so close with her now). Is this a trend to get married? Hmmm... I have been thinking last time that I should get married by age 25, then have kids by age 28. Those ages have seen gone and I am already 33 this year. No plans for kids so probably not in a hurry to get married. Many advices from married frens suggested dun get into the grave so soon and enjoy now. But I do longed to have a house of my own soon, so I could do nice decorations, buy nice furnitures, cook nice meals etc.
Saw a very cute toddler the other day and suddenly wanted to have a baby. But two damn noisy kids in the mrt yesterday really puts me off again. I had to change to another cabin to avoid their screams and felt so agitated. Worse was they also alighted at Braddell and the family was walking behind me. I cannot imagine why those parents are so deaf and din realise their stupid kids were disturbing others. Come to think of it, I think I will do away with kids for the time being (or forever!).

Headache day..
Already had a headache b4 bed last nite so popped some pills. Woke up this morning with a worse headache and went back to zzz, sticking a medicated plaster on my forehead. Had to take stronger medicine after lunch b4 going to meet Web. It did not subside even till now, but at least got better.
Was feeling giddy and threw up my lunch earlier and took a rest in the library. Felt better as I felt hungry and we left for dinner at the hawker centre. Back to the library again and eyes felt rather heavy so took few short naps there.
Feeling so warm tonite although the haze seemed to have subsided. Should be heading to bed soon coz just popped 2 more headache pills.

Got it from Peggy (my sis-in-law) just now when I was out. Quite paisay coz sis gave her this item in my wish list and she had problem trying to find it. She had initially bought the wrong one (Pure Poison) but the shop dun carry the one I wanted and cannot refund she changed a perfume for herself and took trouble to get for me from another shop.
Actually its nice to have something we wanted as birthday presents, so we come out with wish lists so our family and frens wun crack their heads to think what to buy. Although it took away birthday surprises, at least we dun end up having something we dun like.

Hazy day...
Headed down to Parkway Parade with Web as cun think of anywhere to go. The haze wasn't that bad during the day but it got worse after 5pm. Had wanted to walk over to East Coast Park but decided better not. We walked abit then went back indoors at PP. Left ard 7pm+ and took a bus down to Suntec. The haze had already subsided abit by then, or maybe its not as bad in some parts of Singapore. Heard from sis later that West side is quite bad.
Suntec wasn't as crowded as anticipated but Marina Square was. Shopped abit here and there then settled down at Mac for a drink. Left for home soon and upon reaching home, they were watching a show on Ch 8 which starred "大S" - the elder sis of the previous Taiwan group ASOS. It looked like a scary show so sat down to watch. Later realised that its called "疑神疑鬼". Weird show actually coz the female cast (大S) was actually mentally ill without realising it and eventually caused her daughter's death due to her imaginations and being paranoid.
Need to rest soon after shower and doing mask... Now feeling abit headache...

Its TGIF!
Morning
Woke up late again... Dunno why just cun seem to wake up on time this week. Anyway reached office 8.30am++ after buying breakfast (long q!) at the canteen downstairs then started running my daily sales update. Was also bz multitasking to copy some mp3s into my pc and renaming most of them so I could arrange them properly onto my player. Bz with other work stuff until its time for lunch.
Afternoon
Went out with colleagues to have a mini celebration lunch (for mid-autumn festival). Went to Bugis after that as some of them wanted to buy more mooncakes, especially with the offers on this last day. They managed to grab a box each at 50% off, quite a good bargain.
When we reached the office, one of my colleagues was called in by boss and after quite a while, they ended with my boss asking about the mooncakes. My colleage asked her to go later a bit if she wanted as maybe there would be more discount. Din know whether she did buy in the end as I was already in a discussion with another colleague.
Evening
Web had messaged me he might not be able to meet me tonight as he might need to be on standby. I was quite disappointed but luckily the standby was postponed. Heard from him that its actually his colleague's turn on standby but he called the night b4 to check if Web can make it the next evening. Although he said no, the colleague said he will be on medical leave the next day. Web sort of kena sabo-ed but there's nothing he can do coz even their boss is scared of this old bird.
Sometimes its true, old birds in any company usually quite yaya and arrogant. They will talk so loud until the boss also cun do anything about it. Looking at my office environment is a good example...
Anyway I met Web at Somerset and we walked around Orchard Rd and had dinner. Hanged around in Taka eventually until its time to go home. The sky was damn hazy tonight and the air really smelled bad. Heard its going to be worse tomorrow...

Fruitful shopping!!
Its a fruitful shopping day!! Yes actually spent few hundreds buying a Gucci bag and a blouse from Marks & Spencer.
Was abit after a discussion with boss then checked my email and surprised to hear from a website which sells authentic branded bags at lower prices. It's a bag I quite like when I happen to browse through but unfortunately was out of stock then (about couple of months back). I chose to be notified should stock arrive and here it goes... I bought it online straight away and it should be delivered to my office by Monday morning.
Met sis for dinner after work at Ichiban Boshi - Novena Square then took a train to Orchard. Went to MTM 1st to pay for one product which was missed out in the calculations on Tuesday then walked to Marks & Spencer at Wheelock Place. Immediately spotted a casual blouse which I liked very much. Tried it on and its great! Had tried on another skirt but thought that since got no blouse to match, so gave it a miss and only purchased the blouse.
We then walked to Taka amidst the haze which was quite bad today. Heard its about 56+ PSI but looked more like 70+ to me. Shopped abit but din buy anything from there.
Rested for some ice cream then took a walk at the mooncakes bazaar. Most of the mooncakes were sold out since tomorrow is already Mid-Autumn festival. Quite tired after all the walking and took a rest b4 heading home.

Haven't got time to blog since back to work on Tuesday. Had to attend our quarterly meeting at Plaza Hotel in the morning and by the time I reached office, had to clear stuff and other work till knock off time. Even got delayed awhile and left office at 5.45pm. Almost just made it to my facial appointment and I fell asleep during mask time and woke up feeling so giddy even after I got home. Had to take a break b4 getting up to take a shower. Took a giddiness pill and went to bed early that night.
Wednesday was another bz day. Probably coz one colleague on leave or just happened to be a peak period after month end. Reached home and fell asleep after dinner, while doing some Sudoku puzzles until 10pm+. Took quite a while to fall asleep again later at 12am++ and woke up late again this morning. Birthday celebrations!
Checked in at the hotel yesterday around 1pm+ but only managed to have a temporary room as the one we wanted (with king size bed) wasn't available yet. The reception gave us one room which was uncleaned so we changed to another one. Played games in the room while we waited but it was until I called twice till 4pm then we managed to check in finally to our room. Quite pissed with their service coz I had to keep calling, and repeating myself several times before someone attended to me.
Finally settled down and played more games while watching tv. Had snacks we bought earlier and thus not hungry until almost 7pm. Walked out to the Tiong Bahru food market and ate there, plus buying some satays and chicken wings back for supper. Din expect it was so near the hotel as I still thought we need to take a bus there. The new food market was very spacious but quite warm. We had to queue for the fried hokkien mee, the fish balls soup and dessert. The food was still quite nice... should be coming back for more soon.
After shower, we had our supper (or dinner part 2) then played more games and its almost 12 midnight. The game begins!! Web had placed my presents on the bedside table when we checked in. Little did I expect I had to play some games before I could open the presents one by one. Anyway its still quite fun but tiring!!
The games went like this... The presents were tagged from nos. 1-6, but I had to throw 2 dices to determine which one to open. Its not as simple as I had to throw double of one no. (eg 2-2) before I could open present no. 2. If I din manage to, I had to choose my penalty or forefeit from the scrolls of papers.
I was lucky to have thrown double 4s on my 1st try and double 2s after a few tried but subsequently went through all the 10 penalties. The penalties include: 1. 33 situps; 2. 33 hops; 3. Write 33 words starting and ending with "s"; 4. Hold breath for 33 seconds 5. "Ah" continously for 33 seconds in 2 attempts; 6. Win 33 times in scissors-paper-stone; 7. Flip "head" of the coin for 33 times; 8. Read a paragraph in 33 secs; 9. Choose two "3" cards from a pile of 10 cards (only two 3s in the deck); 10. Click stopwatch to stop at 3 secs 3x millisecs. And I finally got my presents!!
I was telling Web his birthday is after mine so be prepared for worse challenges!! To think that he can actually think of such stuff. He also spent 6 hrs last thursday getting all my presents from various parts of Sg! He went to AMK, Bishan, PS, Suntec, Bugis... and find it quite fun! Ya I agree getting presents can be quite fun coz you never know how much it will mean to the other person.
Slept almost around 3am while we chatted and watched tv. Woke up feeling quite tired as not enough sleep obviously. Had breakfast (included) and din eat much coz I dun find quite alot of varieties at the Melting Pot Cafe. We had requested for late check out but they said occupancy is high so we only extended till 1pm. Took a bus back to Orchard and surprised that its damn crowded even on a Monday. Took train home and started unpacking and finally settled down to load all my pictures. Going off for dinner later with sis as she wanted to give me a treat.

He also spent 6 hrs last thursday getting all my presents from various parts of Sg! He went to AMK, Bishan, PS, Suntec, Bugis... and find it quite fun! Ya I agree getting presents can be quite fun coz you never know how much it will mean to the other person.
Slept almost around 3am while we chatted and watched tv. Woke up feeling quite tired as not enough sleep obviously. Had breakfast (included) and din eat much coz I dun find quite alot of varieties at the Melting Pot Cafe. We had requested for late check out but they said occupancy is high so we only extended till 1pm. Took a bus back to Orchard and surprised that its damn crowded even on a Monday. Took train home and started unpacking and finally settled down to load all my pictures. Going off for dinner later with sis as she wanted to give me a treat.
