Ecuador Vs Germany

A truly interesting game whereby Germany scored the in this last match to qualify confidently for the next round of 16 teams. It was a tough fight as both teams tried very hard to score after a 1st goal at the 4th minute by Klose Miroslav. Klose did a very good somersault right after he scored (suprisingly with no look of excitment - maybe he was too used to scoring!!).

Germany tried to score quite a few times but was unsuccessful until the 44th minute when Klose dribbled past the goalkeeper from Ecuador to safely kick (or roll) the ball for another goal.

It was then the second half and right into the 57th minute when Lukas Podoski scored another goal for Germany from a cross by his teamate
Schneider. It was another good kick that left the Ecuador goalkeeper startled.

There was still several chances for Germany to score but all attempts missed. Ecuador had obviously stepped up on their defence, especially their goalkeeper.

It was a good match, as both sides fought their best and probably might meet each other again in the next round. And through this match, I conclude my new found idol - Michael Ballack! Too bad he will be in the Chelsea team in EPL, but will still get to see him.
