Getting ready

Went to watch "Hellboy" at Great World City b4 going back to Chinatown to change currency and got our hotel list in Japan.

Funny thing is when we got our Japanese Yen, I was abit confused coz of the many notes in 10000s. As we walked away, I confirmed with Web again how many should we have and he confirmed was 12 pieces (we changed 1.5k+) even after the money changer said so. Who knows after many counts, it's still 16 pieces so realised we have been given an extra 40k Yen, which amounted to SGD512. Decided to go back and return the currency else we would be haunted by our consciences. If its additional of less than SGD100 I think still acceptable but this amount is far too much. Imagine how much the worker have to pay back the boss (or to the business if he's the boss). Since the money changer was also local Chinese, decided better not to be so greedy.

Anyway the "Hellboy" wasn't that fantastic coz got alot of ugly creatures and quite lame storyline. Probably the only wise message sent across was that humans destroy everything for luxury. It was finally a peaceful movie after Web left his job with no disturbance, be it system messages or calls from his stupid boss.

Need to do some research on the hotels in Japan which we would be staying so could plan shopping around the area if time permits. At least we will also be able to spot eating places if we should be hungry at night after check-in (which is usually after dinner).

Oh ya, the sunglasses I bought last week. Kept forgetting to post the picture :P

Japan here I come!!

Japan here I come!!

All geared up for Japan and counting down now... 8 more days to go!

Collected our specs on Saturday, I made 2 new pairs while Web has one. My degrees went down again so need to change and meanwhile, made an extra pair since can claim from my company. Finally made the authentic transition lens this round as they were having a promotion and since my lens are getting thinner!

Wanted to get a pair of decent (meaning branded) sunglasses for quite a while and after trying almost over 15 pairs, found a pair (ELLE brand) which suits me very well (very "me") and also in my favourite colour tone. Had wanted to go for Oakley coz the salesgal told me she can order in for me at a much lower price but realised the brand's designs dun really suit me. End up got her to recommend what they have in the shop and thus got it at a good bargain. Now I am all ready to go Japan and take nice pictures with it!!

Made some research one some shopping areas in Japan, which I hope we will have time to go. The only regret is I wun be able to visit the Sanrio Puroland as its not included in the package (in most packages in fact) and its too time consuming to go there ourselves. Probably will go there on my next F&E trip to Japan :P

Planning to check out the Burberry Blue Label there as well, together with other fabulous shopping places in Osaka and Tokyo. Its a trip I am really looking forward to, other than Hong Kong. Things might not be as cheap but I guess its a totally different kind of shopping experience!

Its me again!

Good morning Saturday! Its finally weekend again... Its time to take a break from work once again. Been very hectic at work last month preparing for my company's mid-year conference. We dun really have it in the mid-year, this being the 1st time as we changed MD (Managing Director) this year. Hardly got time to breathe and take a break at work until it was finally over this Monday.

Back from a farewell dinner for the Regulatory Director, whom I briefly worked for from 1999-2001. She's a nice person la, except preached quite too much. She can be temperamental at times which really got on my nerves but I guess we would still miss her. She's been with the company for more than 25 years and its high time she needs a break too. She had left on early retirement, probably due to too much stress after the change in MD.

After my honeymoon in Jan this year, we are finally going for a second honeymoon or so-called breakaway in Japan coming mid July. Although its once again a package tour coz dun want to stress planning to go a non-English speaking country, I am still quite excited about it and was researching abit when I was home on mc on Thursday. Its now summer there but the weather would be cooling with highest temperature at 25 degree celcius, lowest at 10.

Nothing interesting happening except my old room at mum's place is slowly undergoing transformation. I simply got no time or energy to take leave to tidy up my stuff. My sis had been rather helpful in doing that for me. Most probably I will just have to move the stuff over then slowly tidying up here. I know she's eager to move my stuff out but I have really been very, very busy at work these days and a leave or mc is a luxury. Plus we already got plans to travel in Jul/ Aug, I need to save enough leave for that. I will try best ok.

Talking about blogging, I sort of lost touch since I got married. Nothing much inspire me to do so anymore. My life is boring - home after work everyday. I miss those days when I could meet friends and even go shopping with sis. Believe me, the last time I set foot on Orchard Road was early last month, and that was briefly for facial only!

I only bought pairs of shoes during the GSS this year and its like in the early days of it. Seriously I dun lack anything la, but shopping is fun, spending money could be fun too... hahaha... Now all I could think is spend my money in Japan instead, hopefully got some chance to do serious shopping!

Well, its almost time for bed, my brain juice is dry now... till we meet again... (probably after my Japan trip if not sooner!)
