Sick today
Went back to bed but woke up on and off until almost 2pm. After shower and late lunch, took medicine and tidied up my expenses abit before starting to feel drowsy again. Napped a while before getting changed to visit the doctor. Also got some medicine for my sensitive nose which got blocked on and off, never recovered ever since the haze days. I then took train to meet sis at Bishan as we need to buy some stuff.
Was around around in a daze and still feeling abit gorgy. Finally home around 9pm as nothing much to shop and I probably need more rest.

Crazy morning
Had to wait for the second train then was able to board and while in the train, I immediately moved to the front coz I only got 2 stops. I was then holding onto a pole by the door and this stupid woman was reading her TODAY and kept brushing my arm. Dun understand such people, how come dun even have a little bit of common sense. I finally got fed up after I purposely hit her papers few times but she still no action. I then moved away and tried to balance myself while purposely brushing my arm to clear of any bits from the newspapers.
Upon reaching Novena Square, it suddenly looked so different. I then realised that Han's is no longer there, Long John Silvers is also closed. I only managed to get my breakfast, lucky Burger King is still there, and took a taxi to office as I dread to squeeze into the train with these inconsiderate people again.
I should be going out during lunch, to take a break from office, colleagues and the stupid boss. Sometimes working is really very sian, lunchtime is the only time we can be alone and free...
Vomit blood...
You tell me, vomit blood or not...

Nabei boss~
1. When someone kept walking in and out of her room looking for someone who is on am leave during lunch (obviously she is not in yet else she will walk past her room 1st)... while I was eating lunch
2. When someone kept coming out and ask stupid questions during my lunch while I was reading my book
3. When someone kept coming out again and again and ask for this and that WITHOUT realising its still my lunch time!!
Just becoz she is staying in for lunch too does not give her the advantage of disturbing others who is also lunching in. Nabei!~ And this idiot is none other than my stupid, idiotic, irritating and disgusting boss!
Already spent like 1 hr plus in her room hearing her sprouting nonsense and her crap just now with a colleague and she had to torture me again during lunch. If its not raining and me feeling damn hungry, I would have gone out for lunch instead of seeing her stupid face and hear her sickening voice. Nabei!~
Lucky she is off to meeting now and going to be on leave from Thursday to next Tuesday. At least got some peace for a while...
Beautiful memories

Rainy + Busy + Tired day
It was then raining cats and dogs later part of lunch where I was lucky to stay in coz got a last min change to do recept duty. My colleague was busy doing induction training and got me to help out. Since I dun quite feel like going out so agreed. I even earned a free lunch (Chicken Mayo Croissant from Delifrance) from her. She had brought those new staff for a welcome lunch and counted my share in. How nice of her... She unintentionally settled my lunch else I would have to brave the crowd downstairs to pack lunch (usually very pack on Mondays coz everyone lazy to lunch out probably) or get caught in the rain if I had gone out.
It was still raining but luckily not so heavy as I made my way to take the shutter bus to the mrt station. Reached home slightly after 6pm and was too lazy to shower. Read my book as I waited for sis to be home to eat together. I was too hungry and started munching something as sis came home. Ate quite a big bowl of rice coz they looked so nice today! Just cannot resist those hard hard rice which alot of people dun like. They are usually on the top surface and no one else in the house likes them. Feeling quite full, I continued reading my book and finished the novel even though I only started reading it during lunch duty at the reception. Its then nap time as I felt so tired and slept through till 10pm+. Woke up unwillingly, showered and did my masks. It was still raining and hopefully would be a nice night to sleep...
The poorer you are the more the GST is going to make you poorer
Example 1
In 2006, if after rebates etc and your net taxable income is $60,000, the income tax you need to pay is $2,700 (8.75%). If you spend $800 a month on needed goods and services, the GST paid for 5% will be $480 Total=$3,180 in Tax paid.
In 2007, if after rebates etc and your net taxable income is $60,000, the income tax you need to pay is $2,600 (8.50%). If you spend $800 a month on needed goods and services, the GST paid for 7% will be $672 Total=$3,272 in Tax paid.
From $3,180 to $3,272, the effective increase is 2.89%.
Example 2
In 2006, if after rebates etc and your net taxable income is $400,000, the income tax you need to pay is $61,650 (21%). If you spend $4,000 a month on needed goods and services, the GST paid for 5% will be $2,400 Total=$64,050 in Tax paid.
In 2007, if after rebates etc and your net taxable income is $400,000, the income tax you need to pay is $58,700 (20%). If you spend $4,000 a month on needed goods and services, the GST paid for 7% will be $3,360 Total=$62,060 in Tax paid.
From $64,050 to $62,060, the effective decrease is -3.11%.
Example 3
In 2006, if after rebates etc and your net taxable income is $25,000, the income tax you need to pay is $187.50 (3.75%). If you spend $800 a month on needed goods and services, the GST paid for 5% will be $480 Total=$667.50 in Tax paid.

The fact is: The poorer you are the more the GST is going to make you poorer

Fun day
Sunday's theme is "Special" thus for members, there is no cover charge as we only need to order one drink each and the total came out to be only $19.81. Web still exclaimed that it was so cheap, so loud at the cashier.
We checked in slightly b4 2pm and stayed all the way till around 6.40pm. The package was till 7pm but we were running out of songs to sing and were feeling damn hungry so decided to leave early. The system was so-so only, same as the one at Paradiz. Now they use this "BIK" brand instead of the usual (probably much more expensive) "BMB" system. The layout of the place was quite nice though, with no rooms opposite of us, not like the rest. As usual is corridors and corridors and I almost bumped into the pantry on the way to the restrooms. There were even changeable neon lights along the corridors as well as in each room. Although its nice and innovative, we found them quite irritating and bright so I switched them off.
It was then off to the hawker centre for dinner and to the library afterwards b4 heading to Mos Burger for a drink and went home.

Happy day!

We then took a break by the indoor pond area at the basement and took some pictures which turned out quite nice! We liked the 1st image best and now is the wallpaper for both our handphones. Web even commented I looked so much like my sis in the 1st image (or should be the other way round coz I am older mah) and said confirm we are sisters. So funny...! Sis also said I looked pretty (means she also pretty la) hahaha...

The show was not bad except I find that there was too much singing. The baby Mumble (main cast in the show) was very cute and quite disappointed that most of the story revolves when he's a grown up (right image below).

Sis then went off to Chinatown alone and Yoki to Bugis. We walked down to the Guan Yin Temple and shopped one round at the crowded OG. Decided to head indoors coz weather dun look too good. Walked to take a bus down to Marina Square and settled down at Lerk Thai for dinner.
The food wasn't too bad but I still prefer Lemongrass. We ordered a Pineapple rice to share, Grilled Cuttlefish which was quite nice, Green Curry with Chicken (its damn hot and not so nice) and a Tom Yam Talay soup with seafood and it was great! We actually finished the whole bowl of soup (in fact it was me who drank more). Only the green curry was left untouched after we finished all the chicken. The green colour base also looked abit weird.

Shopped a while around Marina Square and bought some mini swiss rolls to share. Hanged around and shopped in Giant before we were off to Suntec for more window shopping and rested with a drink. We sat until almost all the shops closed and took the last shutter bus to take mrt home.

Long awaited gathering
Din quite sleep well and having a slight headache this morning. Met up with 4 ex-irc frens last nite. Initially was 2 of them (Hui and Wind) but last min Karen messaged me and said she's meeting Wenping so asked them to join us. Its really coincidental coz quite difficult to gather so many people together.
We had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, which was ages since I last went there (probably 3-4 years ago at least). The food portions are still as huge and we were smart enough to order 1 appetizer and 3 main courses to share.
We were very bloated after dinner but stayed to chat since can't think of any other place to go. Wenping had already left by then, probably feeling quite bored during dinner coz he's not as talkative as us. There seemed to be so much to catch up as we ordered drinks and dessert to last us till 11.30pm.
The 6 shooters set in the above picture was only $30 nett, compared to if you ordered per glass at $9.75. Hui and Wind ordered a set each and had wanted me to join but I know I will have serious hangover today so did not join in. Luckily I did not take it coz scared hangover the next day (true enough, got headache today). Karen only ordered dessert (Hot Fudge Sundae) coz she's allergic to alcohol (will get rashes).
After the 2nd shooter, Hui was already "concusted" (learnt this word from Karen - obviously not in dictionary). Her whole face was red and eyes very teary. Wind was looking ok though, as usual with his strong drinking endurance. After finishing the 5th glass of shooters, its vomit time for Hui. She actually went to the toilet herself and took quite long, so me and Karen went to take a look coz we suspected that. She still commented she thought she could hide it from us... so funny, how not to know when she was in the loo for so long.
Luckily she was much better after the merlion act but still was feeling quite bloated. She vomitted again when we left the place and did it at the sidewalk (pity the cleaner this morning). We then got a cab home after she felt better...
p/s: pictures (other than the group pic - taken from Hui's digi-cam) not too clear coz was still struggling on how to use the new handphone camera.

Getting old...
Was out shopping with sis last nite but came home empty handed. Nothing much to buy coz most of the Xmas sale not really started yet, and we were both quite tired in fact. Had dinner at Marriott cafe and we had Nasi Goreng and Chicken Avocado Sandwich (sis').

The Nasi Goreng not so nice, still prefer the Indonesia Fried Rice at Tangs' Island Cafe. Sis already ate fried rice for lunch so we thought go Marriott Cafe would have a wider variety for her. Abit regret hahaha... coz I crave for fried rice. Nevermind, we will go Island Cafe soon...
After that we walked to Metro Paragon, then Taka and took pictures of the Xmas tree in Ngee Ann City using our new camera phones (p/s. above pictures using my phone, abit blur coz got no micro function leh). Here's mine:

We then rested in between and finally got no strength to walk further and dragged ourselves to take the mrt home. I think sis almost fell asleep while on the escalator!
I received quite a no. of bills last nite, then realised I have paid lesser than the amount for my UOB Ladies' card. Aiya dunno why so blur, forgot to update a purchase and did not check my bill again before I paid, based on the earlier records I had. So now, I am charged $2.76 for interest. Bo bian la, cun argue coz its my fault... so LL lor... Cun imagine the last time I paid more, and this time less. *.*|||

Its TV time once again...
Din know what to eat until decided to eat something we dun eat much often. At the same time, had a craving for rice so we went to Crystal Jade Kitchen. Sis ordered congee while I ordered a Hot and Sour Soup, one dish to share and a bowl of rice for myself. The food was nice, especially the rice!
It was then some shopping before we went to NTUC to groceries (more of snacks in fact) home. It was then TV time after my shower and we watched all the way till 11pm, switching channels from Ch 5 to Ch 52 then Ch 49. Its been quite long since we watch TV like this, and poor papa got no entertainment haha...

小白,你要乖。。。
I supposed like she said, she dun feel so sad compared to those previous hamsters she got and died coz she more or less anticipated it. This 小白 was given to her together with another one (小黑) on her birthday in 2005 by her friends. It was like no choice when someone gave you pets as presents. For me I definitely wouldn't do that. Its a committment once it became your pet, and worse if you cun take good care of it.
When you rear a pet, you have to be prepared that it will leave you one day, coz their lifespan is usually shorter than humans. If I had not like animals, I would not want to keep a pet anyway. Imagine you have to go through the pain in losing it, and many times if you continue to rear many more. My advice is, dun rear pets, keeping toy animals will be much better. They are cute, can accompany you, dun need food and will not die.
I recalled when I was small (probably in primary school), mum always like to buy goldfishes from the market for me and brother. Unfortunately, we were too small to k now how to take care of them and they usually did not live past one week in our care (some even live for a day or less). They died out of water when we took too long to change water or when we accidentally kicked the container which housed them (placed on the floor) off. House too small cun buy a fish tank so bo bian. Was too young to feel anything last time, now thinking of it I really pity them... how suay to be under our care...
Anyway I believe in reincarnations. Maybe 小白 had not been good in its' past life so its a hamster this time. 小白,你要乖。。。 next life you will be better...
New phones
Eventually chose the Sony Ericsson W850i handphone, the same one Peggy and Angeline has. At 1st din want to buy coz (1) so many people getting this phone (2) abit bulky/ thick (3) scared not used to SE since using Nokia for so long (4) not a SE fan. Later decided to get it coz (1) nothing to do and have liked this design when I 1st saw the introduction (2) wanted to try the camera so might not have to bring camera next time (my current Nokia camera sucks!) (3) can still sell it off if dun like.
Anyway I had a hard time trying to get used to it and still struggling. I guess I will interchange with my Nokia 7370 to use. This SE one would be able to take nicer pics than the Nokia one I hope. Yet to try out yet coz most of the stuff (USB cable, operation manual and installation CD etc) are still in the office, only brought the necessary stuff home.

I had a hard time opening the battery cover on Friday nite, after I put in the battery in the afternoon. Opening without battery inside was easy though. I spent almost like 1/2 hr plus until my thumb was sort of swollen and painful. I then sms Peggy but I dun seem to understand her instructions so still stuck. She offered to come and help me and that was 12.20am so I told her no need I will try again since so late liao.
My sis was out of the shower by then so I asked her to help me open. U know what, she took less than 1 min to open and you can imagine my head got many lines (*.*|||). Later after she showed me couple of times, I finally figured out how to open correctly.
Got my sis a Z610i, the one she recently noticed and like. She is already using now but also struggling to get used to it. Her last handphone was a Panasonic VS2 which is abit conked up liao... I think she is adapting to it faster than me coz she had used many types of phones from the start whereby I have been a Nokia fanatic all along.

Too free
On leave!
Trimmed my hair and did a scalp treatment this time. Also bought some hair products (scalp and hair loss treatment) which cost me $140 (including hair services)!
The hairdresser tonged my hair this time to let me have a feel of permed hair. It's nice but not too used to it coz haven't had permed hair for ages. The last time I had a body perm on short hair was sometime in 1995 or 1996 and long hair in 1991 or 1992. She commented that my colour is still quite nice and shiny, despite did it one month ago.

Weekend passed so swiftly as usual and did nothing extraordinary. Its East Coast again on Sat but din go cycling coz dun feel so well (auntie visit). It AMK and library again on Sunday and I borrowed 4 novels this time. From now till 31 Jan 07, each library card can borrow up to 8 books but I cun find so many books to borrow.

Dad's birthday
Was quite bz the whole day and finally thought of going Holland V to makan tonite. Informed sis and Peggy. It was until almot 5pm then I realised I had forgotten to inform my parents, they must be wondering and waiting at home...
Peggu had a difficult time finding a parking lot when we reached. She let us alight 1st and ended up parking way opposite the main Holland V area (somewhere behind the POSB building opposite). In the meantime, we were walking up and down deciding what to eat and settled down at Thai Express. Wanted to let them try Mexican but its too cheesy for mum (she dun take butter, cheese, milk and egg) so better eat something safe.
Ordered a few dishes and main course to share and we managed to finish! The many plates almost seemed alarming but we were still able to conquer them! Forgotten to bring my cam out so din take any pictures of the food. Let me think if I can recall... 1. BBQ chicken breast in plum sauce with rice, 2. Phad Thai Talay (fried kway teow with seafood), 3. Money rolls 4. Prawn Fritters, 5. Tom Yum Soup with Fish, 6. Green Curry with chicken, 7. Tofu Squares (free with Citibank promotions) and 8. 2 bowls of extra white rice. Total amount was $61.10, not too ex despite the choices and portions.
We then bought a cake from Crystal Jade Cakery at 20% off. Was there with Peggy while sis brought my parents to shop abit in the opposite building and just 7 mins to 8.30pm, where all their stuff will sell at 20% off. I was telling Peggy when one sales staff overheard me and told us to just wait a while. She's quite friendly else we will feel so paisay.
By the time, sis and parents already finished one round at the shopping centre and even visited the washrooms. The last time I bought a pair of sandals there and I almost forgotten about them! Just remembered when I am typing this now. No chance to take a look if they have new stock this time.
We then walked to Cold Storage and lingered abit. There was renovation going on so we decided to leave coz it was quite messy there and some areas looked dangerous. Peggy and sis then walked to get the car while I waited at the taxi stand with my parents. The area Peggy parked the car had slopes and stairs so not advisable for mum to walk there. We were sitting at the rear of the taxi queue and surprised there were a long line of taxis there and the passengers came non stop thus the line cleared quite fast. It took a while b4 Peggy and sis came and we were then on the way home.
Its then cutting cake time and will post pictures probably tonite or tomorrow. Was too tired last nite to do anything except finish my novel.

DIY pedicure
The rest are just too far (like Bugis Village and Raffles City) so I decided to paint them myself. Skill not too good as I smudged on several nails but nevermind la, at least nails not naked. Had washed the last coating off few days back but wanted to let them breathe and forgot to paint them again until I realised this morning. Was wearing covered shoes for the last 2 days and need to wear my sandals today as I am wearing skirt. No time to paint in the morning thus brought them to office (but forgot the nail polish remover).
No pics this time coz too ugly... hahaha... but its "Bogota Blackberry" (maroon red) by OPI.

Incompetent people
It rained everyday nowadays and we had tried to keep indoors during the weekends. Was around Orchard (PS) then went to Suntec/ Marina Square on Saturday and to AMK on Sunday. Had a bad headache which lasted the whole of yesterday, probably not enough sleep (its happens everyday) and its coming to that time of the month again...
Was quite bz at work last week, when one of my ex-classmates started disturbing me with her problems at work on Thursday. I was quite pissed off at the moment coz its near knocking off time and I was already rushing my stuff when she had to add on to it. Lucky thing was that she called me but I happened to be on the line, thus she messaged me instead. She had problem struggling with Powerpoint and sound as if its my duty to help her. I just told her I am not sure and suggest she go ask someone else. Hello... she is a personal assistant to a MD and she knows nothing about Powerpoint, how did she end up in the job anyway.
Like I say, some people are just lucky and can sit at their position knowing nothing but get a high pay. These people are also constantly complaining they are underpaid! My god, did they realise I am paid peanuts and expected to do more than them... what crap! She need to learn to be more independent since she is drawing such a high salary (2 times more than me fyi) and have the initiative to take up courses if she is really incompeten, and not calling me whenever she needs help. I am not a helpdesk and free consultation to her... damn! These kind of people better wake up their ideas soon!
Sometimes it doesn't pay to be too kind. When someone asked you something once and you provide a solution, that means endless problems thereafter (its proven). Now I will just say "dunno" to everything to save myself from more problems.

An experience never to forget
Ordered the BK French Chicken Sandwich meal and was so full after finishing it. The sandwich was quite saltish coz the extra ham added to the original saltish chicken patty. Couldn't finish the drink and wanted to carry it while leaving but when I stood up and turned, realised its raining quite heavily! Quite a sudden downpour coz it was damn hot when I came out earlier. Really unpredictable weather!
Stayed for a while and walked out when the rain became smaller. Headed straight back to office b4 the weather starts going cranky again. Was rather bz in the afternoon and it rained again ard 4pm+. Lasted till I left office and my sandals were almost all wet when I walked to the bus stop. Surprisingly the rain became smaller again when I reached Chinatown, waiting for Web. We had XO fish head bee hoon and hor fun again and walked around in Chinatown.
While heading back to Raffles Place which is nearer to Web's office, we passed by a prayer tent - 神坛 kind of thing (dun really know how to describe). Web is going back to the office ard 10.30pm and need to work overnite again, poor thing. Anyway this place, was those people invited deities into their body and perform some rituals. We went in to take a look and just in time for the ceremony to start. As it went on, we were very surprised that there were so many groups with the mediums. Adding together, there were at least 20 mediums when we left and believed there should be more. At certain point of time, I was quite shocked by the possession.
Although I have watched these since young but it was years and maybe I was too young to be afraid that time. There was this moment when we were standing watching this medium in front of us and people starting shouting behind us to give way to some other mediums walking through the path. It gave me a fright and my heart started beating so fast. As more mediums came, I started to stay abit further while Web wanted to go nearer. I hid behind him most of the time. We left coz quite very warm and smoky there. Almost everyone was smoking there, plus the all the incenses. It was truly an experience as I have never seen something so grand b4. Even Web was alarmed by the "casts".
Walked to Mac at Boat Quay for a drink after a toilet break at the nearby Telok Ayer CC (and peeping at the already closed for the day Liverpool store/ cafe). Chatted a while b4 Web sent me to the mrt station and I took the train alone this time home...
Now watching my 王子变青蛙 serial while typing this blog... back to my show now...
Blur me..
Managed to finish 4 disc of the show 王子变青蛙 till now. Suddenly realised the picture is so clear, compared to watching via youtube.com (free one so mia hiam). Also preferred watching it at home coz can see big big screen and loud loud sound. In office has to be a bit more discreet.
Was so blur and rushing off after work that I left my handphone charging in the office. It was only after I alighted from my colleague's car that I realised. Felt so hadicapped last nite without my phone. Managed to get my colleague to remove from the charge and keep for me.

Little Twin Stars
Zombie today
We checked in the ktv room around 15 mins to 7pm and managed to get a room. But the TV was too small and anyway got some problem, so we changed to another room, which alarmingly huge, suitable for crowd of at least 8 persons. But the TV direction was a bit weird, facing only to the left side of the room so I tried to adjust abit. Voice wasn't too good after the cough and halfway through the session, was feeling hungry again even after eating a rice burger from MOS Burger. Been wanting to cough several times while singing and sis mentioned some songs I actually sang the correct ways, like using the 丹田 to sing instead of the throat. This was probably coz I was trying to avoid coughing and ended up singing the right way... haha...
Towards the end of our session, there was this game going on to see if we were lucky enough to win a free drink. The initial game wasn't like this but guessed they changed it. We had to write 2 nos. from no. 1-6 and the staff will throw the dice and if one of our nos. writen was same as the dice, we will win a free drink. In fact the dices were those automated ones - erm dunno how to describe... its actually 2 plastic cups with LEDs of a dice at the base. The gal will clap 2 cups together then the LED lights will blink and stop at whichever no. (see if I can find it anywhere and show next time).
Anyway, after 3 attempts where some people already won, my no. still did not strike. Ain't I supposed to be lucky? Finally after the last round, the staff decided that since not much rooms join in the games, she will give me and another guy a drink each, to compliment our disappointment I guess. Went back to the room with sis singing and told her about the game. Found it a bit bo liao but since there so just try, coz sis was out of drink and feeling thirsty.
We managed to sing till almost 12am and left, taking a bus home. This time when I booked, the lady mentioned we could sing till they close, not telling us that the room will be tentatively up to 10pm and they will allow us to sing until close ONLY if there is no queue. I guess someone feedbacked or complained about this stupid ruling. They just want to earn more money ba...
We were now both coughing and having a sore throat. Mine's worse coz my nose's blocked again, even though the haze seemed to have subsided...

王子变青蛙

On the way, purposely visited the Poh Kim shop and I finally bought my 王子变青蛙 serial!

It's the original Taiwan version and cost me $56.90 after 5% discount from $59.90. The very normal retail price (probably when this serial just came out) was $69.90, so its a good bargain afterall. Still quite ex la compared to Korean serials but really worth it coz each of the discs has a different picture!! That's the good thing about buying original DVD discs.

Trust me, you will love this heartwarming serial...

I won!

Great surprise it was coz it had been quite a while since I last won something (or rather did not take part in any interesting contests with attractive prizes). Not sure what I have won yet but all the prizes looked ok la, so mia hiam. You see, there are 20 prizes only and I won one... quite lucky already.

What's more interesting is, when I looked through the promo card, the draw date was my birthday! How lucky could I get? Haha... even Fuji Xerox wants to give me a birthday present, how to escape?

Ok, till I get the letter, will update what I have won...
Its Tuesday...
Went to bed at 11pm+ coz was feeling quite tired and giddy. Lucky I was feeling ok the whole day, except for few seconds of dizzy spells the minute I stepped into the office after lunch.
Was quite early again this morning and bought breakfast and lunch. After that heavy lunch at Swensen's yesterday, its time to eat lesser abit...

Weekend updates
Thinking if I should head out of office during lunch but no idea where to go. No more presents hunting so end up abit motiveless. Not feeling hungry yet coz ate my breakfast (chee cheong fun) quite late at 9am+ after clearing some work.
Sunday
Our catered food arrived b4 12 noon for grandma's birthday celebration, just in time to savour our empty stomachs. We ate as we waited for few more people to turn up. The food was so so la, compared to the last time we used this caterer for a farewell lunch for a colleague. Did quite abit of negotiation and eventually got $7 per pax. + $30 delivery charge, not too bad but not my ideal budget... abit too neow. Actually not me la, but coz its paid by my dad and he dun want to spend too much.
The roasted chicken (1st pic on right) was bought separately and my second aunt also made agar agar and watermelon and honeydew sago but I forgot to take pictures.

2nd - Seafood roll,
3rd - Curry chicken with potatos,
4th - Tofu with chicken floss
Right column:
2nd - Fried Hong Kong Mee,
3rd - Sweet and sour fish fillet,
4th - Almond Longan
My cousins bought grandma's birthday cake from Sweet Secrets, not too bad especially the biscuit part. Grandma is 84 this year, hope she will stay healthy and happy everyday!

I rushed off to meet Web after eating cake and was perpiring by the time I reached AMK mrt station. It then started raining while I waited abit for Web. He wasn't feeling well again (yes again, kept getting sick and refused to finish antibiotics everytime... really dunno what to say) and really dampened my mood for the day. Told him he should have told me he wasn't feeling well, at least he can stay home and rest. I could have enjoyed myself more at home with the cousins than seeing his sick face. Hai~ at least he made an effort I guess.
We played pool for a while then went to have an early dinner. I din eat much coz not so hungry and left for the library afterwards. Web was mostly sleeping in the library and I managed to finish a mandarin novel... stylo rite? We then left for home b4 9pm.
Saturday
We decided to skip cycling this time. Went PS 1st then walked to the Orchard library at Taka to read some magazines and newspapers. Time seemed to past quite fast today and soon its dinner time. Decided to go healthy so walked to Cineleisure for Subway and walked back to Taka and hanged around until ard 10pm.
Random pics!

happened to be Halloween too. They had their place done up quite
well but I din manage to take everything coz their waiters and
waitresses kept looking. The have plants covered with black cloth
with added eyes to make it look like a ghost, small skeletons sitting
on chairs and fake heads hanging from the ceiling!

much better than b4. Looked quite abit like a hotel room!

Had to made him pose until smile naturally!

Back from chalet
I always find staying here just like in the city, except your "home" is nearby. Food is easily available, be it fast food or normal food court or even restaurants. We had Lemongrass for dinner on the 1st day, my treat for Web's birthday. It was almost 7pm then we realised we were hungry as we were too occupied with the Xbox games. We then had Ben & Jerry's ice cream for dessert and bought some snacks back for supper.
Parties were already going on outside from 5pm+ as there were quite a no. of occupants bbq-ing as well. Surprised that its still so crowded on weekdays and not even school holidays yet! Our neighbours were in fact quite noisy, all the way till 2am+. Luckily we were too tired (and probably thanks to the Baileys) and managed to sleep amidst the noise.
The second day we woke up quite late, ard 10am+. Went for brunch after a morning shower but I wasn't that hungry. Ate abit and we went back to the room for a nap. It's almost 4pm+ when we woke up and prepared to go for dinner. Went to the food court but nothing looked appetising to me so we shared portions. Bought KFC back and a burger from Burger King but we only managed to finish the burger and left the KFC in the fridge. Ended up I brought them home. Luckily the noisy neighbours only stayed for a nite and we had a peaceful sleep for the second nite.
We bought quite a no. of titbits and drinks, plus a bottle of Baileys I bought quite long ago (think from the 2004 Perth trip). We din finish the titbits and half a pet bottle of fruitade but settled the rest. Had to woke up early on the 3rd day as we had to check out by 10.30am. Checkout was surprising faster than check in. Wanted to take the free shutter to Pasir Ris mrt but the stupid bus did not stop at the designated time so we took a feeder bus back. Had lunch at White Sands food court b4 heading home.
Took a nap in the afternoon after reaching home and met sis for dinner at Orchard in the evening. Had dinner at the newly renovated Pasta Cafe and the food was so so la. Too bad we missed the late nite shopping as its not the last Friday of each month so we only hanged around last at DFS b4 taking a bus home.

Pre-birthday celebration for Web
Met Web for lunch at the Midpoint Orchard food court (yesterday) and started a relaxed but tired day of shopping. I brought 2 of the gifts to him 1st coz too heavy to drag to the chalet and we ended up carrying them all around. Did not seem to be a wise choice afterall. Should have gotten something lighter... hahaha...
Wanted to catch a movie at Marina Square but changed our minds when we were there. Hanged around the mall and sat for a drink + chat at the quite empty food court b4 heading for dinner at Changing Appetites.
The restaurant was decorated with the Halloween concept with the staffs having halloween costumes and make ups. However, there were nothing special on the menu for this occasion. We had 2 main courses, 2 cheesecakes and 1 large blended juice. It's 50% off all cheesecakes, 10% off for members and additional 10% off two weeks b4/ after birthday so so its quite a good bargain as we paid ard $36 only.
We then walked over to Suntec, shopped abit and sat down to rest (the gifts were quite a burden really) watching people and chatting. It was until we felt quite thirsty so headed to Mac for a drink b4 taking the shutter bus back to City Hall mrt station and catch a train home.
Its off to the chalet later in the morning so its time for bed now...
