Presents!

Went dinner at Chinatown last night and hanged around until 10pm+. Decided not to go Suntec/ Marina Sq again coz abit tired of the place. Ate at the open concept food street then to KFC, then walked around and sat down to rest at Mcdonalds - Chinatown Point. We had bought lemon lime drink but it turned out to be very diluted so I went back to the counter to change. The 2nd cup was same so I changed to a green tea instead. Aiyo it turned out to be very diluted too, dunno what's happening to them. Eventually they refilled the dispenser and finally got a cup of fragrant green tea.

Met Web at Dhoby Ghaut and we walked around PS until the weather was ok. Walked to the Guanyin Temple at Sim Lim area then to OG. It rained again as we sat down for a drink at one of the coffee shops nearby. Went to watch soccer again at Hotel Rendezvous after that and we were quite early. The waitress recognised us again and remembered our orders (beer + ice water). Saw the couple again and this time the gal slept throughout... *3 lines*. Anyway Liverpool lost again...

Going to celebrate with Web at Holiday Inn Atrium the next day so sis gave me my presents 1st.

Its Friday!!

Ya its finally Friday! Received a bouquet of lovely flowers from Xris, Hui and Angeline (gerberas - seemed to be my flower for this year... hehe). Its making my boss more jealous than ever coz I happened to bump into her while I was carrying it in... But luckily the HR Dir is not in, else will call me and make stupid bo liao comments again (which she did 2 days ago).


Had lunch with my colleagues just now at Ajisen. Thanks to them for giving me a treat for my birthday! Haven't been eating Ajisen for quite awhile and their food and service seems to have slackened. Now so full!

Working too hard...

Got a sms from an ex-classmates (Pre-U) this morning. She had suggested a gathering for 4 of us (closer frens). Initially I thought they have all confirmed so asked sis if we could postpone our appointment for tonight. After chatting with her online, realised so far only I am ok coz there's no reply from one fren and the other cun make it. So eventually told her cannot make it and told her to co-ordinate again so everyone could make it.

Anyway was talking to her and she shared with me some of her problems at home. She had been married for almost 7 years and has a 1-2 years old son (sort of lost track when she gave birth). She told me nowadays she seldom communicate with her hubby as he is often to busy with his own stuff (business and others). She is putting her son as 1st priority now but unfortunately as she is also busy with her career (her 2nd priority), her son is taken care of by her sister since he was born, only back home during weekends. Her son is obviously not close to her and although she felt sad, she had no choice. She wanted to build a career so she could support herself financially should her marriage fail. Dunno about her but I felt that she should try talking to her hubby and solve whatever problems she has now. Its not easy to maintain a marriage and it takes both hands to clap. If things get worse, the marriage may just fail. Hope she thinks it through and know what to do next.

Sometimes thinking of it, getting married when you are really ready is very important. After that, if you intend to have children, there are more things you will need to compromise or sacrifice. I feel that people nowadays are more modernized or westernised in the sense that they do not treausre relatioonships, marriages or families. No matter how hard you work, at end of the day you will still need a family to lean on. I see a few colleagues working so hard (or up) that they either neglect their social lives (being single, divorced or whatever) or their families. How many chances do you have to see your parents age, your spouse/ partner progress or your children grows? When you finally realised its time for you to pause and see them, they might have distanced a lot from you.

Of course there are many others who have fulfilling lives and treasured what they have. Keep it up... dun do things that you might regret in future...

Kpo boss

Met Web after work and decided to have dinner at California Pizza Kitchen coz I got a $10 voucher. I was already damn hungry by 4.30pm although had dim sum for lunch with colleagues. Web wasn't too hungry coz ate quite alot during tea break at his briefing in the afternoon so we ordered only one main course, one salad and a soup.

Was already quite full halfway through the meal but we still managed to finish most of the food. Sat for awhile and left after feeling quite warm there. Went to Marriott hotel as Web wanted to buy a box of mooncakes for my family. We then went to Tangs to cool down abit as the weather last nite was quite warm, plus the sky was very hazy due to the indonesian fires again.

Anyway, while I was on my way to meet Web, my colleague messaged me saying my boss went to kpo at my flowers and started asking my other colleague why I received flowers with "Happy 2nd Anniversary". Damn kpo man!! She already started touching some flowers and I can see them withering away before I left office. Now more flowers gonna meet their fate... and they indeed looked worse this morning... Then she really came and asked me am I married for 2 years already... *3 lines*

So surprised!!

Was bz doing something when my recept called saying there's flowers for me. Eh... was thinking not birthday yet leh, how come got flowers... Finished up what I need to do then walked out feeling so paisay and surprised. Its from Web! In celebration of our 2nd Anniversary... so touched and really surprised... Its a very nice table bouquet (heavy though) with colourful gerberas and roses...

Shopping is fun in Sg too!

Was on leave today, coz need to take a break and also need time to go do hair treatment. Woke up at 9am+ and went to eat breakfast with sis, then off to the hair salon three blocks away. Me and sis did same colour treatment while she had her scalp treatment as well. My colour this time dun seem so bright (suspected is the different blending done by different person) compared to the last time, but still ok la... hopefully better next time.

Came home to take a break and change before we were off to shopping. Initially wanted to go ktv but sis had sore throat so probably another day. Went to Metro Paragon 1st to send my shoes in for servicing then to Taka briefly before taking a bus down to Chinatown. Need to collect my long-awaited pants (sent for alterations) and buy some shampoo and stuff there.

Took a bus again down to Holland Village for dinner and more shopping. Bought a very nice pair of shoes which cost $71.90 after 10% discount! Its ex coz its mainly made of leather but I like it so much (colour and fitting) so mai tu liao!!. Already eyed this pair when we walked passed initially to go to the washroom.


We then went to one beads shop which had been there for long time (opened since like 2-3 years ago) and bought some stuff. Finally had to leave for dinner as we were both damn hungry. Settled for a Mexican restaurant called "El Patio". We shared Chicken Fajitas and Turkey Buritos, plus a complimentary appetizer - Tortilla chips.


After dinner, we did some stupid and funny drawings on the white tablecloth (mahjong paper)...


Then left to shop abit more in Guardian and Watsons, while I bought a lipstick from Revlon. Sis was saying its a new launched one and Revlon cosmetics seemed quite good from recommendations and reviews so just give it a try.

江山一改, 本性难移

Anyone who does read my blog will know I have been longing to go Hong Kong since dunno when. As it seems to be a yearly routine now so is quite weird that I did not go at all this whole year. Plans are still swinging in my head as to whether go this or next year. As its not like going to Sentosa, need to think through whether should spend this kind of money. Thinking I still have other committments like installments, bills and expenses to come (like facial products), its not easy to come to a conclusion so fast. Then there are factors like weather etc to consider. (Maybe I think too much...)

And you know what, there on the other side is my fren, whom just came back from her Hong Kong trip and now telling me MIGHT go Tokyo with her fren. Although the trip might well be a sponsored one (air tickets, hotels and food - also dunno by who coz she is of no relation in work to her fren), she still need to spend money on shopping and transportation (which is no joke in a place like Japan) etc. Its not whether the trip is cheap or free, but the extra money she will need to spend on the trip.

Not that it is of my concern, but I just dun understand why some people cun think properly. Like I said b4, if she got no committments (including debts etc), she is free to go wherever she wants as long as she can afford it. Truth is, she is almost on a nil balance every month after paying debts and still continuously incurring and yet she can still have plans for trips again and again. Oh my, I wish I have her courage! Owing in installments now is no joke to me and its stressing me every single day. Really dunno what to say.... All I can say now is 忠言腻耳... gek sim!

I once won an air ticket to Ho Chih Ming City (Vietnam). I was pretty broke that time as I was only temping and earning like less than 1.5k per mth. I cannot fulfill the trip coz I need to pay for visa (which costs $70 - a hefty sum to me at the point of time) and hotel accommodations. Even if I have a credit card back then, I dun think I will take the risk (of spending more money) just over a free ticket. Even on the free trip (air tickets, hotel accommodations and all meals) I won to US in 1994, I had a hard time coz I was damn broke with only $200 left in my bank account and the extra money was given by dad (which is only USD$600+). I did not venture longer (some group members extended their stay) coz I cannot afford it and its really quite a waste. If its now, I will definitely tour longer b4 I come home. Of coz I cannot compare myself with others but I am just trying to warn her coz I would not want her to go deeper into more debts. Its pretty scary to go bankrupt in Singapore.

Now I know why some people never seem to get out of poverty coz they never wake up to their senses (spending money like no day no night). Not that I am sensible but at least I will not get myself into more trouble if I am already beyond broke. If I am her mother, I would slap her to her senses... hahaha... 江山一改本性难移...

So anyway, good luck to her. Shopping is fun but burns a really big hole in your pocket!

Raining again...

Wondering what I ate or drank last night which made me stayed awake until dunno what time. Then I woke several times in the middle of the night and finally at 6.40am. Lied on the bed after wash up until almost 7.10am then went to shower. Before that was thinking if I should take leave but eventually decided not to. Expected to stone later part of the day.

It started to rain before I left home so dilly dally and login to run my daily sales from home. Had my breakfast too and left for work at ard 8.50am to avoid the raining crowd. Finally reached office ard 9.30am without having to open my umbrella!

Pissed off!

Woke up pretty early this morning, 1st by the aunties' noises but fell asleep shortly, then awaken by high tide (having weird dreams about finding toilets again). Lazed in bed after toilet and wash up until almost 11am, playing mahjong game on my handphone. Sis then sms me and came in to get some medicine from me. Poor sis got sore throat again, so is Web. Dunno why everyone is having sore throat almost all the time...

Met Web at Orchard heading to Great World City, intending to catch a movie 1st. Too bad the interesting shows had weird timings and the rest wasn't quite worth to watch. Had a drink and chat before leaving for the temple at River Valley area.

We stayed abit longer this time as we were both trying to cool down in the main hall. The prayer session then started so we moved to one corner and sat down to watch. Then this auntie suddenly came and volunteered to find a book (or dunno what is it called, with the song recitations) for us, saying since we are there, we should sing along (念经) too. We kindly rejected her sayings it ok but after a while, she came with a book and showed us the page. After a while, we came and asked me if I need one and I said no. She came back again passing me another book!! Wabiang this auntie is too kind or what...

Started following the lines in the book while they recited in hokkien. I was already feeling abit bored trying to catch up with the lines and trying to decipher what those lines mean, then I lost track. As I picked up again, realised that the recitation is so damn long. Then the auntie came back again and pointed to me where they were at (which I did not lost track then). She showed me one part if each line started with a triangle, it should be repeated thrice. And you know what, she started pointing to me each and every line and each repeat. Hello... I am not an idiot ok... starting to feel irritated, somemore she sat down beside me!! It carried on for a while until I got so pissed off as she had to point to me every single verse that I just closed the book, put on the chair and told Web I wait outside.

I almost felt like slapping somemore then as I went out and really damn pissed off. Come on, try to be kind but have a limit. Do I look like an idiot to her? Although its the 1st time I ever touch such stuff, but I am still literate ok... kns!! Luckily Web came out shortly and empathised with me. We left the temple while I complained to him.

Took a bus to Parklane area and went to buy some 4D and soccer bets before going a drink, followed by dinner. Went back to Hotel Rendezvous to watch the live matches of Liverpool Vs Tottenham and Fulham Vs Chelsea (half match). Liverpool finally scored a 3-0 which should help them raise their positions abit at the EPL.

Recap

Rushed home to take a break before going out for our family dinner. Had to wait for brother to fetch sis-in-law 1st from her work. Was feeling so warm so I showered, ate an ice cream and sat down for some Sudoku puzzles while sis fell asleep on my bed. They came shortly after, which was to our surprise coz they always took so long!! We had to tush to change and left home around 7pm+.

We went to this coffeeshop place at Toa Payoh Industrial area for Zhi Cha. The food was not bad except the place not so hip. All of them were quite dressed up except for me and bro but we left after dinner for home. Three of us (me, bro and sil) then chatted about jobs and such while sis was bz copying some shows for them before they went home.

This morning woke up with a headache and decided to sleep in and took morning off from work. Woke up ard 11am but still got a bit of headache. Still had to go office as got a meeting at 3pm. Had lunch at home and reached office before 1pm. Was still feeling quite sick so napped about 10 mins or so then started working. Bz afternoon followed and finally can breathe abit now. Going to knock off soon... and yeah its finally TGIF!!!

Lagging...

Last night cun really sleep, probably coz I napped abit during facial. Almost overslept again but still woke up pretty late. Sis actually woke up earlier than me today, which was quite surprising. She came to knock on my door before I left the house and she actually opened the door for me and send me off... so happening!!

Haven't been blogging for couple of days coz was quite bz... Let me try to recap...

Wednesday
Another bz day with a department meeting in the morning from 10.30am till lunch time. Purposely organised around this kind of timing coz my boss sure cannot tahan her hunger haha... Went out lunch with colleagues at a HK cafe - Tong Shui nearby our office. The food was quite ok for me although my colleagues felt likewise. I just find the service bad, slow and food quite ex.

Had facial appointment at 7.30pm (quite late) but reached Orchard slightly over 6pm only. Walked around until I realised should do pedicure so quickly go find a place with not much people (no q) and found a new shop in far East Plaza. Still quite ex but since got time so decided to try their express pedicure at $18. Chose a red tone this time and it took almost 30 mins to complete. I had to rush off thus no time to wait for the nails to be dried completely. End up by the time I reached Wheelock place, the nail colour on my last toe on my right foot had been totally smudged by my sandals. Had to repaint them later in the night with a similar colour I had.

Anyway back to facial. This time I was shown to a VIP room, which I din realise it actually existed coz its right at the corner, behind a pillar. This room is special coz the bed was a power controlled one. Had to sit 1st before the beautician lowered and adjusted the chair into a bed. Nothing much special except probably the blue lighting and the room is obviously more spacious. Sure hope can get this room again next time...

Tuesday
Bz day as was clearing some invoices in the morning, then from 11am started walking around looking for some users and then its lunch time. We had a farewell celebration for Susan, our receptionist whose last day is next Wed. We had catered for buffet lunch at only $6 per person, but the food doesn't seem to be enough. Would expect abundance so ordered less than the actual headcount but turned out they actually catered JUST ENOUGH as per pax. Anyway the food was good and we shouldn't eat too full for lunch rite?

Followed was a meeting with my boss and colleague. Started the meeting at 2pm and lasted till 4pm+. We then went up to see a user regarding her issue and sort of chatted till 4.30pm+ then we were approached by another 2 users which took us another 15 mins or so. Finally back to my desk at 4.45pm and called my vendor to discuss some stuff until 5pm+. Web then called and we chatted till its time to knock off. Met Xris in Orchard for dinner and decided at Din Tai Feng. I ate a plate of Egg Fried Rice all by myself!! Their fried rice is just so nice... cannot resist!!

We shopped abit while Xris bought some Paul & Joe stuff and managed to get a gift for her colleague's farewell with me nothing to buy. Xris was pondering whether to get the perfume I wanted for my birthday but I told her to think about it and could share with Angeline if she wants. Like that as least can save abit...

Went for a drink at Starbucks as we were both pretty tired after walking, especially Xris with her new pair of shoes (from HK).

Its Monday!!

Its Monday again but today not too bad (not sleepy and grumpy) coz I woke up early (actually coz din really sleep well), showered and left for home early, then obviously early for work too. Managed to catch the 8am shutter bus and its as crowded as usual. My boss is in meeting whole morning thus no one to bother me too. But she came back during lunch and made some noise b4 I went off for my medical appointment. So I quickly left b4 she starts again.

Today's appointment was quite fast, not sure why so few people today. Seen the doctor and made payment in less than 1/2 hr. Took lunch earlier at Mac (yes Mac again... nothing else to eat there leh, food court damn crowded!!) and took shutter bus back to Novena Square after the appointment. Bought lunch (or rather tea) from Burger King for sis and dad. Reached home shortly and took a rest b4 we decided to head for Queensway as sis needs to buy stuff from Ikea. End up we left Ikea holding quite bulky items. Had dinner at the Ikea cafe and proceeded to Queensway Shopping Centre.

I had planned to buy a pair of running shoes and finally got something nice, comfy and well-cushioned after some suggestions by the sales person. He was quite patient and showed me 4 pairs of shoes meant for good running use. Finally decided on the nicer one coz the rest quite ugly (or ex).

As we were already carrying quite alot of stuff, decided to catch a cab back since its after 8pm. End up we waited for the 3rd cab then managed to get on coz the other 2 wanted to go Jurong and Bukit Merah. Might as well dun stop, waste our time and made me pek chek coz becoz of them, we missed other cabs that passed by. Lucky it was still early and could still get a cab as there were people waiting for cabs too.

We then lazed around discussing whether we should go holiday this year and where to. There wasn't much conclusion while I try to surf the website for some info and sis fell asleep on my bed. I then went to shower and do mask for my face after wash. Shall continue on tomorrow on the research...

Man U lost!!

Just read from TODAY that Man U lost one goal to Arsenal last night!! So happy to read that... hahaha... Hope more teams will be able to trash Man U!!

Wet weekend

Friday
Had dinner at KFC again but had chicken this time instead of burger (with sis just the day b4). Cun think of anything else to eat so settled for that, and we went to the Far East Plaza branch. We then walked down all the way to Heeren to shop at HMV. Noticed that there's so many new shops on the 4th and 5th floor coz haven't been there for ages. It was drizzling and we waited for the rain to stop before walking down to Centerpoint and had some snacks and drinks at Mac.

Saturday
Its workout day again! We decided to head down to East Coast for cycling. Reached there slightly after 3.30pm and cycled till about 5pm (now $6 per bike for 1.5hrs). Shared a Chicken Foldover meal at Mac and quickly walked to take a bus elsewhere as the weather dun look too good. Wanted to go Jurong East but stopped halfway at Clementi instead. Its been almost 5-6 years since I was last there and indeed much has changed (shops not layout). Had dinner at the hawker centre and walked around abit before sitting down at Mac again for a drink before we left for home. Seems like its Mac day everyday!!

Sunday
Spent the whole late morning downloading songs (continued from last nite) then went to meet Web. Played pool as usual and had dinner at the 2nd floor Bubble Tea restaurant at Jubilee. We have seen this place many times and finally get to eat there. The food was quite good but find the prices abit ex. Was walking around after that and Web suggested buying some bualukus and eat. Had to find a dry place coz rained quite heavy earlier so eventually settled at the seats outside the AMK Polyclinic. Its actually the 1st time I eat this fruit and find it so so la. I would not buy it myself and eat though... We then sat and chatted for a while and went to A* to watch the live match (Chelsea against Liverpool). As usual, Liverpool lost again but not too bad coz they only conceded one goal.

Wet lunch time

Was checking on my expenses spreadsheet and realised I have missed payment for yet another credit card bill (UOB - dued on 11 Sep 06). Managed to rush down to the AXS machine and made payment to two credit cards, one due 16 Sep 06 (Citibank M1 - one day short!). Dunno what's wrong with me this month, actually missed 2 due dates and luckily realised early.

Called UOB thereafter to check and make sure I dun get charged for late payment but they asked me to call back when I receive my next bill coz there might already been some charges. Disappointed that they are not as efficient as DBS who could put in a request on the spot. No choice have to call again later this month.

It was raining very heavily from 11am+ and we were worried about getting lunch later. Luckily my colleague went out when the rain was smaller and called to offer to packet lunch for us. Chose pineapple fried rice since its probably the easiest. It doesn't taste as nice and not much ingredients. Abit regretted but no choice la... still gotta fill my stomach. It was still raining when I went down to pay the credit card bills. Hopefully should stop soon...

Its TGIF!!

Its TGIF!!

Woke up feeling tired and almost thought it was Saturday. But was still glad its finally Friday. Sometimes a week passes by quite fast and sometimes its like taking forever. Weekend is always so short!! Dun quite understand why must everyone work so hard and got no time for other stuff like trying to live a life (fulfillingly I meant).

I see colleagues whom try to climb up the corporate ladder with whatever way they used, neglecting the fact that they are sacrificing alot more (like their own social life, their families and their frens etc.). I feel sad for these people.... Is money really that taunting?? Maybe I am not ambitious enough, which is why I am here as what I was 5 years ago. But I prefer having this freedom of earning enough to survive and have time to enjoy my life as well. Hack care what others say and feel, this is my own life, I choose how I gonna live it.

I longed for a holiday coz I haven't been out of Singapore at all this year. Was still talking to sis that night that I would sponsor her to go HK with me, probably end of the year or early next year, depending on how much leave I will need to clear this year. Although its winter and we probably will not find clothings or shoes to buy, I still like the feel of the cool (if not cold) weather. We were also talking on shopping in Bangkok, a place which I dun really fancy but cun deny its still a cheap shopping place (including the package itself). My sis' fren Yoki just came back from BKK and planning to go again next year. Its been quite a while since I last went and was thinking if we want to wait till next year's summer sale to go HK (and possibly taiwan too), we might just go ahead to BKK 1st. I cannot control my shopping bugs anymore!!!

Shopping day

Shopping bugs is back again! Went dinner and shopping with sis after work at Orchard. I finally got myself a new pair of sandals. My old pair is so worn out to the extend that I feel paisay wearing them out. Sure hope this pair wun cut my poor feet.

Had a hectic morning coz took half day off today to go shopping with sis. Met her at Bugis and had intended to lunch at the Koo Kee Dumpling place but upon sitting down, realised the menu changed so we changed place. Wanted to eat at Qi Ji but it was damn crowded so ended up at KFC. After lunch, we walked to the Guan Yin Temple and then to OG Rochor to shop abit. Sis bought a 3/4 pants which she seen it long ago but cun decide whether to buy or not. Its now on a 20% sale so she decided to get it finally and was pretty excited about it. She then saw a pair of shoes but not available in her size and I cun find a suitable pair of covered shoes too so we decided to go down OG Chinatown to try. Took a bus from near the Bugis mrt stn and reached Chinatown within 10 mins.

After walking around quite abit at OG, she finally got her pair of shoes (but not the colour she initially wanted) and I found a pair of covered shoes too. As our purchases were above $80, we got a set of keychains free and was able to apply for the new OG card.

Next stop we took a break as sis was hungry and I was quite thirsty. Sat down at the food court beside OG and she had chicken hor fun while I took one piece of honeydew and drank sugar cane juice. Continued on after that to the 3rd floor to buy perfumes. I had wanted to buy "Ralph" by Ralph Lauren and "Pleasures Exotic" by Estee Lauder. I bought one for myself (Ralph) and sis bought me the other one as a birthday gift to me.

Went to the boutique "Suit n You" at People's Park Centre and managed to only get one pair of pants as there were too many people right after us (the shop was empty when we entered). Had to alter the length of the pants so will only collect once ready. For those who are looking for formal suits, this is a good place as all the clothes are designed by the lady boss and all sent to tailor make in Hong Kong. The clothes are also very cheap (for eg. a skirt suit for less than $80), you probably have to check out then know what I mean.

Next went to a few shops at the same complex and shop around until we were both tired and hungry. As there was nothing much to eat there, took a bus to Orchard Taka and had dinner at Sanur. Its been almost years since we last had Sanur and we definitely were satiated.

Taka also started the mooncakes bazaar today thus we walked by and sampled a few nice ones (still quite full after the dinner). We were dead tired by the time we walked to the mrt stn and were lucky to catch a train ending at Ang Mo Kio again so we got seats to rest abit.

Its only Wednesday...

Woke up this morning, vaguely thinking its Thursday... must be looking forward to another weekend too soon. Had a hard time choosing clothes to wear today and thus left home fairly late. Still managed to get breakfast and lunch before reaching office at almost 8.30am+.

Was pretty busy the whole morning to resolve some issues and had to entertain people trying shortcut for IT support. Had no choice but to send email to all the admin to remind their dept people to contact the appropriate Helpdesk. Sometimes its really damn sickening working with these people.

Anyway, chanced upon a website (click here) by a fren's fren selling cheap costume jewelleries. Prices are reasonable and items were quite pretty. Already thinking of getting a couple of bracelets and necklaces for myself and upcoming frens' birthdays.

Headache!!

Its a brand new day again except I woke up with a headache again. Wanted to take mc but abit paisay liao. Yesterday counted I took 11 days mc this year, meaning I have only 3 more left.

Xris is finally back from HK, I believed she must have shopped quite abit. How not to buy things in HK, even if you had just a little time as its shopping everywhere. Couple of friends are going HK soon too, making me so envious! I really miss shopping in Hong Kong!! That kind of no-day-no-night shopping in HK really shiok, plus no work for days... Too bad no kakis to go this year, hopefully sis save enough for our planned trip next year to HK & Taiwan. Really looking forward to taking a holiday as I haven't been out of Singapore this whole year at all!! Argghh!!!

Suddenly got the urge to go shopping but have to take leave during weekdays else always no time. Maybe shall take couple of days to take a break to go shopping and relax soon, else I might just fall sick again (sick of work!).

Wet weekend

Weekend is over in a swift again... Tomorrow is the much detested Monday and I sure hope no rain again in the morning. Been raining on and off (rain and shine, rain and shine) this whole Sunday. Went to Thomas' house for his baby 1st month and we were smart to arrive as the earliest and probably one of those who left early too. We were given a box of assorted cakes (usual 1st month baby celebration stuff) and finished almost all the stuff like red eggs, mini tarlets (no taste) and others, not wanting to carry it all around. We then transferred the cake into a smaller paper bag and then put inside a plastic bag (compliments of MOS Burger!) which Web brought it home after we carried it the whole day.

Hanged around in Causeway Point after we left Thomas' house and then went to Jurong East for dinner. Had wanted to eat the "bamboo rice" but the stall moved. Wasted our effort all the way there so ended up eating chicken rice and fish balls soup. Spent the next couple of hours at the Fuji Ice Palace and watched the Ice Hockey training sessions. Next was the long ride home on the mrt (going to Marina South direction).

Saturday
Watched "Barnyard" at Orchard Cineleisure, shopped abit then watch soccer at Palong Bar again. Had wanted to watch at the Blabbers Cafe at Strand Hotel but there wasn't a single soul in the cafe and they dun seem to be showing EPL so went back to Palong Bar. "Barnyard" wasn't too bad and was quite touchy and entertaining, except the animals weren't draw quite cute. Probably only the little chicks looked and sound quite adorable.

Friday
Avoided Suntec/ Marina Square area this weekend and ate at Chinatown again, at the Holland Village XO Fish Head Beehoon restaurant. We then took a train to Plaza Singapura as it was starting to drizzle. Eventually walked down to Somerset area and sat down for a drink at Centrepoint. It was raining by the time we settled down as we saw people carrying umbrella when walking in. Luckily the rain stopped when we left for home.

Early "thunderstorm" on the office

Din on aircon this morning and almost on the verge of over sleeping again. Forced myself to wake up by 7am and left home 7.40am. The sky looked dark and was starting to drizzle. Suspected still might have a bit of fever and feeling abit giddy (maybe still not enough sleep?). Anyway took my medicine (fever, sore throat and giddy) after having a sandwich. Also packed fried mee for lunch 2day in case it really rains during lunch, as reported by weather forecast.

My boss had a big argument with her neighbour cum good friend this morning. Not really sure what is it all about but should be something on some system info which both of them are trying to shun their responsibilties. They were initially talking on the phone when the neighbour hung up and my boss had to walk over (just next door to her room) and continued the argument. It ended with no conclusion as my boss shouted "forget it forget it, dun want to talk anymore" and went back to her room and closed her door. The next minute, my colleague was called in, possibly to listen to her complaints. We reckoned its gonna be a hard day for us, as my boss will be in a bad mood. Pls pray for us!

Sick again...

Was feeling really tired yesterday, especially during facial. Took a cab home after that and realised I am actually running a fever AGAIN!! Decided to take off today and still having mild fever now. Dunno what's wrong with me. The doc said could be I am under alot of stress (which I think could be my boss) or not enough sleep thus my immune system just broke down.

Managed to get get enough sleep at least till almost 11am this morning and after seeing doctor and went out with sis to buy some necessities for home, dropped back in bed for a nap. Ate dinner and measured my temperature and it still read 37.5 degrees celcius. Hopefully after some fever pills, will feel better tomorrow. Else I think my boss will nag at me (as if being sick is my choice... hai~).

Tired tired tired!!!

Couldn't get to sleep until like almost 2am last nite. Reason? Coz fell asleep around 7.30pm and slept through till 9pm+. Wanted to watch TV but no energy to wake up. Woke up late as usual this morning and had a headache now.

My boss is back from leave... sian~. From her sound, should be in good mood (maybe won some money in Genting) so hopefully no nagging from her today.

Feel like zzz now... wondering if I can survive facial tonite...

Bored day

Rained again this morning so took my time to come out after running my daily job from home. Reached office ard 8.45am, not so late after all.

Luckily youtube.com is up since last nite, so I managed to finish my serial "恶魔在身边" today. This serial is quite short (about 14 episodes) thus din take up too much time. Most other serials I previosuly watched, had almost 25-30 episodes!

Quite bored at work today coz no mood to work (boss not in). Afternoon spent gossiping here and there to pass time. Web then called and discussed plans for my birthay but no conclusion yet. Probably will decide by this week so we could make prior arrangements if necessary.

Its knocking off time and I am catching a ride from my colleague. Damn hungry now but was offered some snacks by a colleague so should be able to sustain my hunger for a while.

Bored Monday

Can you imagine youtube.com has been down since this morning and its still dead!

Anyway, decided to packet lunch earlier but heard from colleague its damn crowded at the canteen downstairs so went out with colleagues and ended up eating at V8 Cafe, Parco Bugis.

Wanted to shop around abit but realised its already 2pm so walked back to office. Its quite warm now in the office (all of a sudden) so using the spare fan now to cool down.

Too rich!

Its Monday again and I am feeling quite sleepy. Probably only had about 4+ hrs of sleep coz went to bed ard 1am and couldn't get to sleep immediately. Suspected could be the tea I drank at SK jewellery. Watched 2 episodes of "恶魔在身边" and almost wanted to continue on but had to sleep. Woke up quite early this morning and managed to reached office by 8.15am after buying breakfast.

Was busy calling the banks for my credit cards this morning (UOB, Citibank and DBS) coz realised (1) I missed the due date for payment to DBS credit cards so had to call them to make sure I am not charged as I am only one day late, (2) called Citibank to see if they can transfer some credit balances of one credit card account to another credit card account and (3) called UOB to ask for annual fee waiver. Realised I had over paid last month for my Citibank and UOB cards so I have credit balances of almost $700 in both accounts. Does that mean I am quite rich? No wonder my banks' account balances became so low... hai~. I have been probably too busy (getting sick and all etc) so lost track of my accounts for the past month.

Weekend passed quite swiftly again, and its now another week in a new month. Went to Marina Square as usual last Friday, to East Coast on Saturday and hanged around AMK on Sunday. Managed to get a pair of earrings from SK Jewellery for Peggy's birthday too (which was yestesday but had to give her late coz think she not in Singapore). Its mum's birthday this coming Wed but think will just give her a red packet coz dunno what to get for her anymore.

Boss is on leave today and tomorrow so probably will do some lunchtime shopping this couple of days. Had to replenish my facial products so its time to spend money again :( so probably will drop by during lunch or after work. Cun wait till facial session on Wed coz product down to almost last drop!

Lucky nite!

Its TGIF!

For a while I still dun believe its Friday when was getting dressed this morning. Woke up late again today coz din even hear the earlier alarms until the last snooze at 7.25am! No aircon for these couple of days coz weather quite cold, dun want to waste resources so only had the fan on. Realised that when I use the fan, I tend to oversleep coz its actually less disruptive (not so cold).

Ran my daily job again at home and had no time to buy breakfast. Reached office building ard 9am so decided better go office 1st. Who knows I could be so lucky coz met my boss and her good fren while walking to the lift. Had wanted to skip the lift with them but my boss was so kind to hold the door for me, no choice. Her good fren actually can say I am later abit than my boss, which my boss then answered saying "I will let her walk out 1st". Still asked stupid questions inside the lift and made me so malu (coz there are other people in the lift too). I just kept quiet and smile while nodding my head in response to her questions. I think I will strike 4D this weekend... hai~~

Finally finished watching "星苹果乐园" online at youtube.com. This story is not as nice as "王子变青蛙" or "爱情魔发师" but still worth watching. Mainly coz most of the characters are not so well known, compared to "王子变青蛙" and "爱情魔发师". So far I think "王子变青蛙" is the best so if anyone intends to watch, go for it! Not sure what is my next serial but probably really have to take a break 1st. Catching serials is really tiring!!

Another weekend is around the corner, hopefully the weather dun spoil all the fun. Been raining so heavily for the past couple of days, finally can see some sun today (but I still stayed in office during lunch). Time to think how to spend the weekend... and next Mon and Tue, my boss is on leave!! Yeah!! Really something to look forward to!!
